If you're interested in getting a Steam Controller or simply want interesting new games to play as a seasoned user, Woodsie provides an interesting look. A top 10 list interesting in that it also provides a journey for new users to embark on, at the end of which one should have mastered their new hardware.
Just in time after i got mine.
Wow, that native support for [sp]System Shock 2[/sp] is pretty badass.

the song at the end if anyone was curious.
I wonder how it would do in Arma with the gyros in it. I'm very curious now knowing it has gyros.

psssh who reads those. Not me thats for sure.
...I definitely didn't use shazam to find the song or anything.
This guy sounds about as excited to talk about the stuff in this video as he is about watching paint dry.

Yes but it sounds as if he's put in the dedication and time as if he's invented the paint roller
damn, it's been awhile since i've seen a top 10 list with some actual thought put into it. i didn't expect any of those games to be on that list (besides [sp]civ 5[/sp])
It would be neat if the controller went on sale

personally I avoid posting woodsie for steamcontroller stuff because he has pretty much mostly all just steam controller videos, it's too obvious :v:

I have it so gyro mouse turns on when i have a finger on the mouse (right) pad it'll turn on
trackpad + gryo at the same time. Sounds dumb, but try it.

Whilst I don't know about European prices, to me it seems like the general quality and complexity of the controller justifies its (still quite reasonable) price. If it's a big success I'm sure Valve will consider a sale, but I do wonder how much money they're actually making from it, considering the investment they put into it.

Doesn't it cost as much as a regular PS3 or Xbox One controller?
Doesn't it cost as much as a regular PS3 or Xbox One controller?
54,99€ and no idea about shipping fees.
I kinda want to get a Steam link and Steam controller just for the heck of it now :v:
Doesn't it cost as much as a regular PS3 or Xbox One controller?
Yes and no. Steam Controller is $49.99 on Steam. A standard Xbox One controller is $56.98 on Amazon right now. A Dualshock 3 is $45.24. If you just need the controller, you're already there.
An Xbox One PC wireless adapter, sold separately, is $24.99. An average Bluetooth dongle for wireless DS3 use is around $10. The Steam Controller includes a wireless dongle.

Woah that is loads of shit, I mean I would have to pay 65.61 US Dollar for the controller and then 9.84 US Dollar for shipping making 75,45 US Dollar total.
I hate unfair pricing.

Buy it from Amazon, was $49.99 even though I am from Norway.

Thank you, this song represents my taste in both electronica and alternative rock extremely well.
Edit: derp I was on an outdated version of this page (loaded it this morning) so I didn't notice that someone said it was in the credits
Much more convenient than reading the credits though, so thanks, still. hue
I really want to try the steam controller, especially since he said it works with fighters. I only have an old 360 controller with the fucking awful dpad that rarely gets it right. But at the same time I wonder if it is worth waiting for the second iteration of the controller.

That's a possibility for sure.
I personally will pick up a second generation one so that I have two steam controllers. My girlfriends quite taken with playing the Binding of Isaic on it
I was on the fence about it before, but now I'm pretty much sold on one of these.
Got one today for xmas, imo once you get used to it, its actually a really good controller, far more accurate than a normal controller, and way more comfortable.
One thing I didn't like was the trackball mode, I ended up just jacking up sensitivity and going to mouse mode, because for some reason flicking your thumb on the steam controller to turn around fast doesn't work, I don't know if theres some unspoken limit on how fast you can move your thumb on the pad, but it puts me off.
I think its worth the $50, but imo you shouldn't get it alone, get it with a Steam Link.
My opinion is that it's currently the best controller for a PC gamer, compared against DS3, DS4, X360, and XBOne.
