I want this to be good, but I just don't want to pre order after what happened to the last alien game. And with all the dlc that's already being made for this is scary.
So all the game's cast members will sound like old people?

We're at an age where pre-ordering games has become.. Just not smart. Sure if you have money to just throw out there, why not? If you're making a decision on a game that'll last you a long time, or flop like a donkey dick, then certainly your best option is to wait it out.
Chances are that DLC is going to be released in a pack afterward.
I think it was already confirmed the DLC will be available later on?

especially compared to everyone else in the cast

Digitally made younger.
Will John Hurt be in this? There hasn't been any mention on whether he will or wont be. If he is, that would be amazing!

Well according to IMDb and Wikipedia, the answer to that is sadly no.
to be fair, hurt is dead as soon as the chestburster turns up, and I'd imagine the missions would have the xenomorph from the get go
What is this? Following the timeline, the crew of the Nostromo (and the Nostromo itself) are dead, Ripley is floating through space.

The pre-order DLC takes place on Nostromo.

This is for a specific piece of DLC that takes place during the first Alien.

Ah, I wasn't aware there was DLC. Hohum.
honestly in the scope of the first Alien movie a game version reenactment of it will be really, really short. Probably equivalent to one game chapter. Heck it even says that it starts after the first person in the movie dies.

this is for a prequel mission - you get the 'nostromo edition' if you preorder, which has this said mission. the main game itself is around 10-15 hrs long

Yeah, not sure there's many of us that wouldn't wanna blast that bungalow. I'm sure we've at least all thought of it.
