he should play DayZ
[sp]for those who remember the jamie hyneman zombie[/sp]
Uhh, umm, uhh-uhh.
Good ole' Jamie.
And his first instinct is to walk off a cliff

It's a good thing.
I like people who choose their words carefully.
I might just get this for Star Citizen when that releases.
What game is he playing? I can't tell.
And his first instinct is to walk off a cliff
To be fair, falling in 3D would be euphoric as hell. Imagine Mirror's Edge with this.

It's an unreal engine visual demo. Comes with the UDK.
now combine it with https://www.leapmotion.com/ and penumbra
why no one still try some kind virtual reality hand-tracking together with Oculus
for example

Jamie's lack of eye contact bugged me.
Other than that, I think it's cool that he is thinking of non gaming implementations for the Oculus Rift.
I was hoping for walrus simulator...
Jamie doesn't even need the headstrap to secure the Oculus Rift, his mustache could support that shit.

Playable Horker Race DLC Skyrim 2013
The Oculus rift compatible with RC cars would be so fucking cash. You'd need some kind of ball camera in the cockpit, and then you'd put something like the Oculus Rift on and drive the RC as if you were inside it, while being at your computer.
he rambles too much
This would be cool as hell in a driving game like Flat Out.
Damn.
Shit.
Nigga.
he rambles too much
I dont really hear too much rambling.
I dont know when this video was released, but Jamie being from one of the most popular educational shows on TV would only bring more support, not just to video games but also to other works. proch's RC idea could also be used to controll robots heading into disaster areas:

This Oculus Rift is filled with only utter genius for not only games but for the world, and the amount of uses it would have is crazy.

This is already a thing, and exists for cars, planes, and copters.

Of course there are cameras, but I don't think there are many with head tracking.

would be so unreal to look out the window and see everything looking so huge
you'd feel so tiny
This is already a thing, and exists for cars, planes, and copters.
and for some reason the wii u has something similar with it tracking the gamepad screen.

someone should port these videos over to the oculus.
I really love how he doesn't even seem to give a fuck about the two other guys and he just enjoys playing shit.

RC planes, space planes or robot fight
real live world of tanks ;D with real sized tanks with real guns but robot driver
And his first instinct is to walk off a cliff
I would love to do that, I already get that gut wrenching fear when I jump off a building in Fallout, imagine what it would be like with this

I feel like making a VR studio. People pay and get to experience VR. They wear that, the Oculus Rift, a Razer Hydra, an omnimill and there's a Kinect too. Then a supercomputer running Cryengine 3 almost full power has a simulated world you get to explore.
its probably really awkward talking with those two guys
i mean the asian guy doesnt even look like he showers

I really wouldn't be surprised if VR arcades started popping up. There's just so much that could potentially be added to the experience that's just outside of the average consumer's reach.
