I'm curious to see speedruns of this version as it has no tingle tuner to do zombie hover.
All that bloom and blur is honestly hideous. All the dark parts and dungeon parts look amazing though. I wish they didn't add so much blur and shit.
For some reason the bloom in videos look horrible but in person the bloom isn't that bad.
Not sure why that is.
I wish someone would tell the art designers that the International versions of Zelda box art look so much better than the North American boxart
The covers look so much better without a bunch of gold covering everything
Jesus christ I want this so badly.

i dont see why you would ever put bloom on a cellshaded game, it makes no sense.
Vomit-inducing bloom fest, geometry barely improved, 0/10 original is far better

The bloomfest looks nice in a few aereas, but that oversaturated cyan, ughhhhhhhhhh

The game's no longer celshaded by effect, using the different lighting and altered things like the completely different skies for more of a painting style, it seems. It's really a completely different look, I can see why some fans are pissed about the change, but I think it adds a unique touch to the HD version of the game.

Assuming they don't fix every speedrunning glitch it should be a lot faster considering fast text, fast sailing and fast triforce.

Like Makol said the bloom isnt that bad as the video makes it out to be.
I feel like the bloom fits the setting.
The bloom is bad really. There's bloom in areas where the brightness doesn't exceed 100% of what the screen can show, so it's really unecessary and makes the game look soapy or something.

8000'th post get!
Like I said before. For whatever reason the bloom in videos looks much worse than it does in person, but before they reduced it not too long ago the bloom was definitely a major issue.

I mean there is a lot of bloom but it's not as blinding/awful as it appears to be in videos.
The music still makes me smile to this day.
Dat nostalgia.. makes me want to be a kid again
They must have prepped these videos before the Bloom change.
the bloom is a bit overdone in the daytime parts but some of you are saying it's been changed so i'm not too worried.
i'd like to know more about the "streamlined" triforce quest, myself. that was insane in the original, so it might win people over by just that.
and good god that nostalgia made me a bit teary and it was weird.

So Speedrunslive is more known about than I give credit for..
Glad they're giving attention to this game.

Without the tuner the difference is less than 30 minutes, it's pretty trivial.

Any comparison pics?
Selling my gamecube was probably the biggest mistake I made in my life.

Trivial? Ah, when you considering people improve their times by seconds, by yeah the overall different categories and that comparison...
the fact that the original looks better emulated widescreen just shows they didnt need to do anything other than refine the models and textures and add per pixel lighting. but instead they took the same models and went with style breaking lighting!!

I actually think it looks better, but the miiverse integration looks stupid and terrible.

Assuming you already know the game, you won't need to use the integration at all
Wind Waker is by far my favorite zelda game, so I was concerned about the HD version, but it looks amazing when you see it in motion in 1080p. Also the music got redone and it sounds a ton better. I'm mad hyped for the HD windwaker

oh my god the nostalgia
I think this looks great, but personally I think a better GCN remaster candidate would've been Super Mario Sunshine.
Wii U games (at least the first-party ones so far) with outdoor areas look actually sunny in a way that I really haven't seen previous games do. I think Wind Waker HD's outdoor areas look gorgeous with the new lighting even if it's at the cost of some of the deeper solid colors from the original. But I can't help but think about just how much it would directly improve Sunshine rather than be a trade-off like Wind Waker.
