Meh, this is exactly what I was expecting it to be. Trying to be as morbid as possible is not the point of Dark Souls. Don't get me wrong, it was a good animation, but it would have been better off as a stand alone title rather than carry the Dark Souls name.
Yeah Dark Souls is less about morbidity and more about hopelessness and fatalism.
Absolutely in no way reminiscent of dark souls imo.

i hate eli roth
If you didn't put Dark Souls in the title I would have no idea this has anything to do with Dark Souls
what does this have to do with dark souls????
Jesus christ he really is just trying to make bank off of things in name alone now. Hack fraud to the bitter end.
Yes good plan, get the guy who made hostel and cabin fever to do a trailer for dark souls, because that's the kind of sutble, atmospheric style we need, right?
He made this too
This was nice animation but like said 0 resemblance with Dark Souls.
He made this too
He just can't do anything right can he?
He just can't do anything right can he?
I don't think that one is as bad at the animated one; but shit I didn't know he made that one too I feel violated [editline]31st March 2016[/editline] hopefully the comic is good but I don't really know what to expect based on the cover
The animation is good, but it's clear Eli has no idea what Dark Souls is about. It's like he watched the existing trailers out for DS3 and just winged it from what little he saw.

God damn I wish Roth would just fuck off.
As much as I hate Eli Roth, this was fucking nice
It's obvious that he doesn't know anything about the games. He missed the entire mood and point of the Dark Souls universe completely. Animation wasn't bad though.
to play Devil's Advocate, Namco Banda probably got in touch with him.
Like everyone said; good animation with decent imagery and macabre, but it had zero to do with Dark Souls III besides what looks like the castle and [sp]what Yhorm the Giant Lord of Cinder looks like under his armor[/sp]. I dare say that it confirms my belief that when it comes to video game movies, besides Wreck-it-Ralph, movie directors don't give a shit if what they do to the source material is right or wrong. All they do is look at trailers and streamers through shoddy goggles and go "So that's what the kids like nowadays! Let's make a movie like that. Nothing can backfire from this at all!"
quit talkin shit on the bear jew [editline]31st March 2016[/editline] crazy how he goes from bashing nazi's heads in to playing DS
