This is awesome.
Looks really gooooood
Looks nice, really looking forward to the full release.
however I have a few questions. Firstly, why was that doctor/scientist tightening that guys balls with a spanner? and the fog looks really bad in some scenes.
There's not much they can do about the fog, one of the perils of working with gamebryo
the only thing i know about windows movie maker is that it's trash, try using a trial of some other software if you're worried about warez
i suggest sony vegas 12

Because you don't want to have deflated balls like Tom Brady :P JK
The fog was needed because our LOD was not generated yet. It would take 2-3 weeks just to generate LOD. Meaning if I didn't put the fog there it would look even stranger.
Thanks for the support though :D
Why are there modern looking weapons? They don't fit the Fallout style at all.
Why are there modern looking weapons? They don't fit the Fallout style at all.
Uhhhhh all the weapons in the video are vanilla.
Really? My bad. I still haven't played the DLCs. Some must be part of them.

Nope, they're all from the base game.

The gun you are probably referring to is the service rifle which is the standard issue for NCR Troops.

And is also from the 1950s.
Which FP users are somehow involved in the development? Aside from apparently simkas and OP.
But most importantly, how does this thing install? I used to have a quite heavily modified New Vegas install, but I'm pretty exhausted of installing and configuring countless of mods. So, does it include most/any/all essential mods in it? If so, what? (For example the first person helmet view is cool, I used to enjoy that back when I used to roam New vegas.)
Could it be installed on a clean NV installation without as little as an unofficial patch from Nexus or something?

I've got nothing to do with the development, not sure where you got that idea.
Fucking hell, this got me pretty hyped. I hope we get a legion campaign.

I've no idea either, shit sorry.. but OP is?

It's a complete overhaul of the main game so it would likely break a heavily-modded New Vegas. I'd just start from a fresh install and re-add mods as you go that don't affect The Frontier.
don't mean to be negative but hope it get's finished up before F4.
Might be hard for some to revisit it after F4 drops. Hell it's not even out yet and I'm burnt out to the point of no return for F3/NV

can you spill the beans on some/any real life Portland locations you put ingame

other than the white stag
I'm really sorry I was wrong. I checked a wiki for new vegas and saw that they are in fact common rifles in the game. Somehow I have no memory of them, even if my last play session isn't that far away.
Is this going to be more open world or kind of a scenic story walk through ala Operation Anchorage/Lonesome Road?
Eh, don't like that you used Elegia - New Order like the Phantom Pain Trailer.
Why not use other music and create a more unique feeling instead of remind me of another game.
I really don't see a reason why you couldn't take something else.
I mean fuck, the game looks GREAT I can't wait, but I am a fan if a game (or mod) comes with a unique trailer und unique feel that I take with me into the game.

Unless they bring in their own composer (which would either be really hard to do, or sound like shit) no matter what song they use, it's gonna remind somebody of something. Personally, I've never seen that Phantom Pain trailer, so the music was pretty unique to me.
Yeah, not a stretch to call this trailer MGS inspired.
Doesn't make my point any less valid. Still be hella hard to do something completely unique.

Truthfully the originally plan was to release in winter of 2016ish time period long before FO4 was announced. Than all of sudden in June, Bethesda was like "btw game gonna be out in Nov". So yeah, we got put in a tough spot. We're still pushing through and hope to release it before FO4 mod tools comes out.
These more "unique" to you?

I honestly don't think anyone would not play your mod just because Fallout 4 came out if they weren't already uninterested enough to bother with it.
People still go back and play Morrowind overhauls. Don't let them get you down!
I'm not getting FO4 at launch, I'll probably pick it up on a sale like I did with 3 and NV, but i'm genuinely curious as to whether the devs have pondered if FO4 would be able to support their mod? Then again, no one can tell until release I suppose since it may be relatively easy to bring over older mods, or they may have to be heavily reworked - not to mention all the assets from FNV having to be ported or replaced entirely with new ones and so much more.
Looks more promising than FO4.
I said some mean things the last time I saw you post something about the mod you guys were making but I take it back tbh
You guys put a lot of work into this and it shows from the trailers and looking at it now I hope you guys succeed especially you, who post on FP and give the updates. You're a stand-up guy and respond well to negative criticism and it's something that I think should be respected and I wish you guys very well in the future

Thanks for the love man! My team totally agrees. As long as we pull this mod off right, people will play it.

Hey man no problem. We take it all in stride. I understand that we can't appease everyone and no matter what we do, we'll have haters. We are just working hard to make sure the mod is fun and memorable for all.
