Damn, I really thought he was gonna crash around 0:32. Glad he didn't
The fact that his parents actually let him hit a ramp that big at 7 baffles me.
Look at the way he went down the ramp after jumping, he could have gotten seriously hurt or killed quite frankly
But other then that the kid is a badass and the dad probably feels like a stunt man messiah for seeing his son do that
He was sooooo close to eating shit though
when i was seven i discovered that touching my penis feels good

if my parents sheltered me and kept me from teaching myself how to snowboard (and in the process eating a load of fucking ice) then i'd be way less confident in my own abilities than i am now. Kids should be encouraged to try exciting things, they get hurt, they learn. That's part of growing up, and to rob them of that is to rob them of necessary life experience and some fantastic opportunities.

Seriously doubt this. Adults fall on ramps like that all the time and they're fine, might break an arm or a leg depending on how you land though. Children are a lot more resilient and flexible as well, less chance of shit breaking in the first place.
I don't know but a ramp that big can fuck anyone up pretty bad
All I'm saying is letting a 7 year old jump a 20+ft ramp is kind of dim witted and short-sighted
10, 11 and 12 are perfectly fine ages for shit like this

He was wearing a helmet, neck brace, and everything. I'm pretty sure he would of been fine.
Involuntary front wheelie.

yeah, the protective gear is more designed to guard you from scraping pointy bits like elbows, knees and shit; if the kid fell off and landed on the decline he would have been fine, it's when you hit flat ground from height or a wall that you'd have a problem
that said, the kid's mental and i wouldn't jump that shit so fair play to him
When i was his age i was just learning how i get a little air off of ramps.
Then i faceplanted and slid on sharp gravel for a meter or so ..pretty much skinning my right side.
Never touched my bike again
Should have mentioned that he jumps HUGE ramp
Those Woodward ramps (not this one specifically) really don't hurt much to fall on, its like falling on plywood but really smooth so you just slide a lot if you're going fast.

the kid's posture as he rides makes it look like he's pretty experienced on the bike
damn son
Kid's got more balls than me and he hasn't even hit puberty yet.
While he did a great job doing that jump, if he broke any bones his growth could have been stunted, an unnecessary risk if you ask me.

in this case the age is an arbitrary barrier established by people who -can't- pull this kind of thing off at a much older age.
if he has the talent, then he has the talent. just because someone may think that he's too young to do this doesn't discount the fact that he has the skill to pull it off. it's merely sheltering for the sake of sheltering, and im glad his parents dont think like you do.
Oh man, that's the same song they used in Barely Legal Pawn.

Okay I know he did it, he can do it and that's all and well; but accidents can happen and risking a 7 year olds health for a youtube stunt video isn't cool
I would love to see how you react to you letting your child do something like this and him getting hurt and being paralysed his whole life, starting at 7.
It could have easily been a liveleak video, and all for what? Freedom?

if my kid wants to get into extreme sports you know im gonna get him started earlier than 7
kids learn their best at a young age, and as long as the proper precautions are taken and they're okay with the risks themselves and still want to do it, then I'm definitely gonna enable them, because my family did the same to me and I learned a lot from it.
[editline]20th September 2015[/editline]
i mean dont get me wrong im not doing flips off jumps or shit like that right now, but pretty much ever since ive started boarding, bombing it from the peak of a mountain and letting the snow decide if i eat shit or not has been my method of learning trails.
im 20 and i can't even ride a bike
im 20 and i can't even ride a bike
When I was moving out of the old house my dad said that he found some bikes in the shed and he said to me: "if you want to find out which of those is yours it'll be the one that looks brand new"
[sp]because i never rode it[/sp]
When I was a little boy, I wanted to learn how to ride a bike.
Then I fell from it and never touched a bike again.

I hate to continue this debate because people seem to hate those here but I honestly think you would be a terrible fucking parent with no forethought if you
listened to your 3-7 year old ramble about wanting to do extreme sports and you actually letting them do MegaRamp jumps at that age.
I'm glad my parents didn't think like you
I'd probably be dead at 9 for attempting my first MegaRamp backflip

well yeah you probably would have because you probably suck at doing stunt jumps
if my kid had a passion for it from a young age and really pushed to do it and proved he had some skill with his bike, yes I'll let him try what he wants. Would I worry for his safety, sure. But I'm not gonna coddle my child purely because he could get hurt.
The shit you're saying is exactly the problem with parenting nowadays, where everyone is too scared to let their child be themselves. Professional bikers don't start when they're 16, they start when they're young. That's the same with every extreme sport.

it's not like the kid has never been on a bike before
this is something he obviously does a lot and has a real interest in or else he wouldn't do it in the first place

Tony Hawk started skating at 9 years old, became professional by 14, never gave up even when skating stopped making him money for a few years, and look where that brought him in his life.
If a kid wants to make it big in doing something they love, they have to start young, even if it's dangerous.
Just because you weren't physically capable of doing what this 7 year old kid did, doesn't mean all children are physically incapable and are doomed to ending up in a wheel chair because of a stupid stunt.
He's obviously been practicing bike riding and ramps, because when he did it, he didn't seem to make a big deal out of it- just got on the pike, peddled and landed kinda sketchy but recovered. This clearly wasn't his first ramp like that or first time on his bike.
You'd be a terrible parent to deny a kid from living their dream, and refusing to help them make it to where they want to be, even if it's something as potentially dangerous as this.
