That was kind of......boring. :v:
They only finished filming last week so they're probably trying to use as little scenes that require CG as possible. I assume the next trailer in 2-3 months will have more going on visually
I'll hold off until then, then.
holy crap strange is one of my favorite marvel superheroes this and civil war are gonna make 2016 awesome :D
poolnoodle boonybun was the right choice, he's convinced me so far
Marvel's Matrixception
Not to over-simplify the character, but I know literally nothing about him. What exactly are his "super powers"? i.e. Hulk is super strong, Thor can fly and is really strong, etc.
Magic is Merica's national treasure

This movie looks way more interesting than the average Marvel flick.
I'm digging cabbagepatch with a beard. He's also an awesome actor so hope this turns out great
I'm going to go in like Blade 3, low expectations except Blade 3 was worse then I imagined. To clarify, I hope this movie is like getting high without drugs and plan to not expect it to be a cleaver movie but a visual feast.
I don't know a whole lot about Dr. Strange, but this had me blown away. thos crazy visuals
I'm getting Batman Begins vibes; rich guy traveling to east to find himself, the training in a eastern temple, the snow shot... then the Inception horn and obvious Inception scene with the upside down world... sigh.

As opposed to, I have just watched the whole movie in 3 minutes.
This movie looks way more interesting than the average Marvel flick.
what exactly is the average marvel flick you're talking about a studio that made both Guardians of the Galaxy and Captain America The Winter Soldier in the same year
what exactly is the average marvel flick you're talking about a studio that made both Guardians of the Galaxy and Captain America The Winter Soldier in the same year
Generally the Marvel films all have a common baseline wherein the Hero believes that only they can do the thing, but then they learn they need their friends and allies because without them they're nothing. It culminates in a big flashy battle with quite a bit of collateral and a lot of vfx, the villain is criminally underused/underdeveloped and almost always the weakest part of the film as a whole. This bit is true of every Marvel film that's been made, ever. Even Guardians of the Galaxy, Winter Soldier, Iron Man 1 and Avengers (generally their best films) hold true to this. While it seems like this film will adhere to quite a few of these rules, it seems to be stepping outside the more 'grounded' films of Marvel (ala Iron Man, Captain America etc) and broadening horizons in the same vein as Guardians of the Galaxy. I'm looking forward to it, I'm glad they followed through on their promise of "It'll look like when the comics do magic".

Looks very Inception/Chris Nolan-ish.
This movie looks way more interesting than the average Marvel flick.

Looks very Inception/Chris Nolan-ish.
Exactly my thoughts. Marvel has been boring the shit out of me. For all their praise, most Avengers and Avengers-characters flicks I've found to be mindlessly dull action fare. I basically forgot all of Avengers as soon as I walked out of the theater. This looks like it could be more in the Nolan-Batman vein, which I enjoy much better. Knew nothing about this, now I'm reasonably excited. Good work, trailer. Also, Chiwetel Ejiofor as some kind of futuristic black ninja!? I have never seen such a thing before.
Didn't know Tilda Swinton was in this. Hyped.
What kinda magician is he? Lightning bolts and magic missiles?
I don't know anything about Doctor Strange but this movie looks interesting. How powerful is he exactly in the Marvel universe?
What kinda magician is he? Lightning bolts and magic missiles?
He can do pretty much anything.
