it's a $500 fantasy football tracker
lol where's the games?
I feel like the voice commands are not that accurate. I mean I couldn't even tell what he was saying. "Skype Dirt You"? Also, does it automatically accept Skype calls or what?
Jesus L Christ. What were they thinking?! Xbox is no longer a game console, it's the pigskin reporter! Also:
Microsoft is really trying to get into the middle of everyone's lives. They're much too big for their own good at this point.
Man, those graphics looks very realistic and amazing. Too bad I'm not into sports much, but I bet is fun to play it, specially online.
he's making a call to a person at a party outside at dusk, no way would it be that clear of an image.
lol where's the games?
I may have captured brief, out-of-focus footage suggesting that such mystical creatures exist, however after following up on this 'Ryse' it seems to appear that they are little more than motion pictures. Further research is underway.
They couldn't even show a clip of Madden in there?

Can you really blame them for not showing any games when the title clearly says "The NFL on Xbox One"?
Can you really blame them for not showing any games when the title clearly says "The NFL on Xbox One"?
You kind of can considering it's the first TV ad for the system ever.
Can you really blame them for not showing any games when the title clearly says "The NFL on Xbox One"?
The first television advertisement for a video console should contain video games. Fuck even put some footage of Madden in there at least. This is a clear indication that MS gives more shits about it being an "entertainment device" than a video game console, which is a sign that they may very well not give a shit about releasing good games on it.

XB1 HAS NO GAAAAAAAMES
I wouldn't really have understood what the fuck was going on in that trailer if I hadn't have been following what you can do on the thing. Top notch advertisement.
Xbox One, the Playstation 3 of 2013
you guys seriously complain about an xbox and NFL ad contaning nothing but NFL content on an xbox? Like, what? Even the video title is "NFL on xbox one" did you expect halo 5 gameplay?
Oh boy, you mean if I get the xbox one, I too can be a trendy 20-something who watches fantasy football on a roof with a bunch of people WHILE skyping with my friends? Man, who the fuck wants video games when you can be THAT cool?
you guys seriously complain about an xbox and NFL ad contaning nothing but NFL content on an xbox? Like, what?
Well seeing as it's a gaming console I expected the first ad to have something related to gaming
Microsoft tries to rename it's product into a "entertainement console", attracting the non-hardcore gamer to think "oh man I'm getting so much more entertainement value than just video game by buying this thing". Therefor the idea of "it's a gaming console it must show game" is completly trivial to them AND to part of their target audience. Edit: To advertise Madden NFL Microsoft would probably need to share a cut with EA sports or w/e and they probably said fuck it let's keep all the dosh for ourselves and just show TV.
Which is one of the reasons why Xbox is dead to me and many others.
As it is for me, but I think Microsoft knows this and tries to gain the casual market (now easier to obtain due to the Wii U's crippled start) rather than pointlessly try to regain the status of TRUE GAMER CONSOLE. And thus this advertisement is justified, even though I do agree that I'd like to see more games.
what the fuck is that coffee table
Watch TV, on your Xbox, on your TV
but i wanted a new gaming console
Watch against all odds this is exactly the kind of thing that makes xb1 huge in the "Wii" sense AKA people buy xbox one for NFL and TV stuff instead of for actual games much like how the fad non-gamer crowd got the Wii because it was a fun toy to play wii sports on while keeping the kid quiet too
But why spend $500 on something like that.
Honestly I think this is pretty cool. They're marketing their selves towards people who don't just play video games. I'm sure upper middle class guys in their 30s wouldn't mind the inclusion of a fantasy football app for the console. Smart business decision and honestly a cool evolution of technology outside it's original purposes. It's like how the cell phone became the smart phone. The video game console is becoming the smart video game console.
