Some documentary on the growth on Fungi by BBC. Looks surreal.
It's so amazing what you'll find when you play with time (slowmo/timelapse)
Corticeps are fucking scary as shit.
I'd hate to be that ant. I can't even imagine what that'd be like to have a parasite growing inside your head.
Ewww... now I'm all itchy and touchy and paranoid. blehhhhhalskdnlak I dont wanna fall asleep now :tinfoil:
It's so damn cool how the ants quarantine the infected like that. That has to be the most interesting video I've ever seen.
This is part of an episode of the BBC mini-series documentary, "Planet Earth." It's an amazing documentary; some of the things they do to get these pictures are incredible.
Seriously? This is from Planet Earth? Goddamn, my dad bought me the entire series, and I've only really been skipping through parts of the first dvd. Then I assume this is from Planet Earth as well? Probably the one of the most unbelievable creatures out there..

Planet Earth is essentially just a lot of cool HD footage of animals spliced together. There's no narrative. also, planet earth is a discovery channel thing. this is from the BBC.

4:30 - 5:10 :byodood:
If I saw mushrooms popping out of the ground like that in real time I would freak out.
I love BBC, also, the world sped up is a scary place
i just keep thinking about what it would feel like to try and pick it up and squeeze in your hand :O
1:31-1:41 would be pretty fucking weird to see in real time..
looks like a stop-motion clay animation.
I want more time-lapses on fungi.
I want more time-lapses on fungi.
There's actually quite a lot on YouTube, but none as rad as the one I posted above. And I was trying to find some more documentaries on Cordyceps, as they seem pretty interesting, but I can't find anything on YouTube, besides some dumb limericks and part of the video I posted.
