Breaking news: This generation believed to be the only one to have ever utilised hyperbole
Breaking news: This generation believed to be the only one to have ever utilised hyperbole
Case in point? :v:
Ironic hyperbole ruined the creator of this video's childhood.
Holy shit, they are actually making a live action. (it's as horrible as it sounds)
Oh my god, this is fucking perfect.
But the Simpsons intro is objectively worst.
But the Simpsons intro is objectively worst.
Doesn't mean it "ruined your childhood".
i'm glad collegehumor is here to take a stand on these kinds of unnecessarily hyperbolic statements
reminds me of that plinkett clip "is it fair to say that george lucas ruined my childhood? nah, that isn't fair. george lucas didn't ruin my childhood, fucking polio did."
Robocop reboot wasn't that bad tbh. It was different yeah but thats what made it good. It just kinda, passable, but not terrible.
while we're at it can we stop saying shit like "faith in humanity restored/lost"?
I think what annoys me more about people saying that such and such 'ruined their childhood' is not so much the hyperbole as it is them retroactively downgrading their childhood for basically no reason.
When people make a reboot just fucking enjoy it for what it is would you rather it got a reboot rather than just let it die off? most reboots are actually... really good. But everyone BITCHES and BITCHES and BITCHES for days about it. a reboot is a simple refitting of a concept. That's it. Stop crying about it. [editline]6th January 2015[/editline] of course, there are plenty of extremely awful reboots.
no shit the ghostbusters reboot isn't using the original cast half the motherfuckers are now ghosts themselves
reminds me of that plinkett clip "is it fair to say that george lucas ruined my childhood? now thats just crazy talk. george lucas didn't ruin my childhood, fucking polio did."
fixed
would you rather it got a reboot rather than just let it die off?
to be honest, yeah I generally would prefer it just died off if you can't make something that's faithful to the original, don't make it a reboot. just make it a different thing.
to be honest, yeah I generally would prefer it just died off if you can't make something that's faithful to the original, don't make it a reboot. just make it a different thing.
of course, if it isn't even slightly faithful, then it really should be left alone example but if it's like JJ's star trek, then it can be pretty damn good. not the same as the original but very much star trek.

Eugh.

So, this is my first time seeing anything proper of Postman Pat. My God, that movie looks like shit. [editline]6th January 2015[/editline] On topic for the video, I think it's flat out terrible. It's on par with saying "don't throw away your food, there are starving children in Africa," or even the concept of scolding someone for complaining because someone else has it worse. They're taking a joke way too literally and to the extreme.
these videos by college humor annoy me more than what they're addressing. They're too forced and border on whiney.
You guys don't understand. These things clearly went back in time and made sure your childhood was ruined.
