...Well that was a super-neat way to walk through video-game history.
jesus christ it was like playing a level of Rez
this video is fucking sweet
that was actually really good
This is brilliant.
I'm kind of disappointed that [sp]the QR code just goes to their channel[/sp].

Goatse would've been much more appropriate.
so.. 12 triangles?
I recognize a few of the games shown. Mirror's Edge and Amnesia are two that were well done.
Some kinda commentary on how the graphics are a fancy wrapping on the same thing?

And limbo
For some reason I was expecting

Is anyone else getting an Unreal Tournament vibe from 1:38?
Interesting that they added games like the black swan, antichamber, and thomas was alone.
Really loved the attention to detail, like the old TV/VHS effects on the first bit, the dead pixel on the gameboy, and the higher field-of-view for the Unreal Tournament bit.
I love how it said [sp]OH GOD MY EYES[/sp] at the virtual boy part.

Tempest 2000 spot was dead on as well as the KI one.
No crash bandicoot crates?

It is a pretty obvious reference.

And Super Hexagon of all things
The Silent Hill part caught me way off-guard
Badass video, man

yyyooooooo, if you don't mind a couple questions
What did you use to make this? How many effects did you have to pile up for the Pong segments? I was really surprised with how realistic the scanlines and chroma aberration looked.

This was made primarily in Adobe After Effects with the TV look being the following:

Basically doing the chroma abberation first, shifting the reds to the right and the blues to the left, before adding some noise, blur, and scanlines (made with the grid effect); then two different wobble effects that make the screen look unstable, like a bit of signal interference without overdoing it. On the Pong segments specifically there's also an echo effect that occurs before all of this that adds a blurry square lingering behind the Pong square - the idea being that it's like really bad CRT ghosting. :)
Wow, this is amazing.

I love how you put Silent Hill right after the NIN ammo box, couldn't have been better

Thank you so much for this! I was looking for a way to do this in photoshop, but man I didn't think after effects lol.

After Effects is great for still image editing. In a way it's a better Photoshop than Photoshop, as you can use videos, 3D models and procedurally-generated elements for layers and all of the effects are non-destructive.
I used it to put this wallpaper together, for instance: THA-bombandcrosschainsawsdoveexplosion.png

Well then, lets see what I can cook up :D

I'm using a trial for after effects, are they not in the trial version?
