What horrible parents
It's a well known tactic. Children don't want to leave their parent. They'll come running right after.
And if they don't, I'm sure the parents don't leave the child out of sight.

See this everytime at toy stores
Unfortunate set of events but I'm glad it had a happy ending. Hell, the child might listen to their parents more now.
the car was a child predator
That's why you always pay attention while driving.
Just an unfortunate event though, noone to really blame.
Oh wow, now they actually helped someone. I remember about the little girl who got run over by many vehicles, and nobody gave a shit.
I think it made everyone aware of that incident.
I just can't believe some drivers are that careless. I mean how do you not see a child on the road.
I drive a truck that is lifted off the ground higher then that and I can still see whatever is in front.

Yeah, and people should be especially carefull, when manouvering through crowded and narrow streets like that.
What I find a little strange is how the person who was in the car got out. Unless I'm missing something, should they not have continued so the girl could get up? Or was she stuck or something?

There's a chance that the girl could have gotten stuck on components under the car.
If she got anything caught on the driveshaft (or differential on some cars), it could seriously mangle her. Not to mention be scraped along on the pavement.

Also, the girl may have landed between the front tires, meaning that a fourth of the car's weight would go over her if the driver continued. I've had a car drive over my foot before. It is not pleasant.
What a brat. I blame the kid. If he wasn't so stuckup and followed his parents. Non of this would have happened.

What? How can you even say that? Kids always throw tantrums no matter what, they're a fucking kid.
I've seen parents do this all the time in the UK.... Just not in the middle of a road.

But in the middle of the street? Is he retarded? If it was like indoors or something then I can see some logic.

uh, its a five year old, they tend not to think ahead.
Why are drivers so retarded? It's obviously a busy street in that area with tons of people walking across the street, so there's bound to be someone on the road.
