It just sounds too messy.
10kg really isnt much for curls, but that's a really fucking sick idea having it shaped like a dumbell. if you were a really scrawny fucker/wanted to do mad supersets, then this could actually be really novel.
are water-weights a thing? seems like a really neat way to have adjustable weights.

I'm not sure you want the weight you're lifting to be able to slosh around.

I don't really know about that, if it isn't full the water splashing around might put it off balance.
Plus the dumbbells would end up being fuck-huge cause density of water compared to iron is pretty low.

That could introduce some pretty interesting dynamic resistance that you would not be able to get with iron weights. Might cause some increased activation of stabilization and accessory muscles.
