Apparently the next time they leave Pennsylvania for a road trip for the show, they're going to review my brother's car. Yay
I have a 1999 MX5, a convertible.
Never buy a soft top car. Ever. All I'm saying

Because the top just deteriorates like wet bread after 10 years, the rain drains go through the inside of the car, make a 90 degree turn before emptying out below your car, causing them to get blocked up up easily, then leak the water inside your car, which causes the entire thing to rust all the way through without you realizing it over time, and then one day you're driving along and for some reason you can smell gasoline, Oh, because it's rusted through that somehow, too. (One of the problems nobody bothers telling you about and you have to find out on your own) The cheap paint acts like you cover your car in bologna every night, and if you're 5'9 or taller, don't bother because you'll feel like you're sitting in coach. In the review they talked about the arm rest on the door being arm straps instead, Well now you know why they're straps. Though in mine they are arm rests so that's even less room
Mechanically speaking, though, it's fucking superb. You have to replace the clutch cylinder every 30,000 miles, though. I don't know if that's normal on all cars but that seems really shit
