Perhaps the most poetic astronomer ever.
Holy shit
I wish I had his speaking skill.
I wanna be able to experience that feeling when watching man land on another planet live on TV. Like what it felt when watching the first man on the moon on TV.
Its kinda sad that one of the most moving and influential moments in our parents lifetime was watching Neil Armstrong take the first steps on the moon while the equivalent of our lifetime was turning on the TV on a Tuesday in 2001 only to see airplanes full of people slam into buildings.
AAAAAAAAnd nothing happened since.
Good game humanity.

So true, and it only makes me disappointed in the governments of today. Why do we have to have constant war? Why do we have constant poverty? Why is there nothing being done to fix all of it? The human race has the ability to do so much good but all of it is wasted on people being true to themselves and not to each other. If we would all just stop fighting then the world would be a better place. I can dream though.
Enough with the pessimism. Everyone always thinks the world is going to fall apart around them, yet we live on. Our next step is Mars, something that'll likely happen in our lifetime. Look forward to it!
Here it is from the creator, in HD:

I shed a tear knowing I probably won't be able to travel through space in my lifetime.
My hero

If anyone was wondering
Everytime I see the worldwide military budget I rage.
$2.1 trillion oh my fucking god. How could budget distribution be so fucking uneven?
I really hope the future generations will fix this clusterfuck, I sure know I won't support this kind of budget when I grow up.
then to imagine people saying it's a waste to put money in space. Almost no money at all is put in it compared to the fucking military.

It's sad that it seems that the moon landings only have been used as a tool to show off how good they were.
I could listen to him forever.

Why is that the coolest people have already passed away =[
This is so beautiful, but it makes me so sad that we spend all our money on trying to kill each other, it's so unnecessary.

I wish that was possible but there are people in high places that have incredibly backwards mindsets that will never ever change because that's how stubborn and self-righteous they are. All we can really hope for at this point is that they die of old age or something and that a much better person takes their place.
Feynman and Sagan are my favorites of all time. They could make anything so fascinating and put science into simply and beautiful terms. I wish I would've gotten a chance to experience their genius.

You're the one prancing around the thread denying everything. Why don't you come up with sources that say nothing was impacted by any of the two?

We still have Bill Shattner dude, don't worry.

Fixed that for ya
Kind of sad how military oriented the whole world is.
Nobody could work together to save themselves.
Too busy killing eachother to even consider going out there
In the process, NASA has been (virtually) killed in the crossfire
Out of how many people do you know wish war on another country? The only people you see are the leaders. Why is it then that these people are in power?
Imagine where we'd be if all the military budget was funneled into the space budget...
