Yes, I finally got caught by the police. Funny though, they just yelled at us and made us leave. After trying to write a ticket they realized they couldn't even charge me with anything because there wasn't a single "No Trespassing" sign on the property. Ha! Not surprised they got us here though, the place was literally in the process of being demolished while we were inside. A bulldozer could've knocked the walls down at any minute. The place was already half torn down so we were extremely visible inside. Had a great time though!

I'm glad you were able to document this historic landmark before it was destroyed forever and to be lost in time. Forget those guys who wish to stop your work.
I'm surprised that you weren't caught earlier with the amount of exploring you do. It was nice that the cops played it cool with the entire situation, even giving you possible scouting locations. Personally, I would scout around those locations but be cautious with entering as the cops know the locations just as well as you do.
The thing that pisses me off as an architect is that it looks as if they haven't even attempted to salvage anything out of that place. There are loads of cool old doors, windows and architectural features that they could just rip out and sell as they are. Not to mention the thousands of used bricks that go for around $0.50 a piece at the Home Depot and Lowes.
It's true, this demo team was extremely wasteful. I have seen guys even disassemble and save drywall from places. I know the basement to this school was extremely contaminated so it may have been a lost cause, but not everything! Locals who had worked at or attended this school were taking the bricks as souvenirs actually. Fun Fact: Like most of my videos, my girlfriend was with me on this explore

Better scrap and recycle anything you possibly can, then pile it. Then again, I can see it being a challenge maybe to sort everything?
