These guys are Whispering in my fucking ear!
I've seen/heard ASMR videos before, but whispering in my ear, that's never felt good, just weird.
these asmr mumbo-jumbo makes me REALLY uncomfortable.
shitty mics
can't bear to listen
I'd rather not believe that I'm such a shit-on human that to feel better about myself I need to watch two nasty ass people whisper positive compliments about how great I am
like am I really that big of a shiton with that low of self esteem
aren't they lying to me
I'm sitting on my computer smoking weed and coughing and eating and fucking off
how is this powerful
90% of the comments on the page areabout scarlet (the female)
perhaps this is popular because most people on the internet are lonely
and want to hear some subpar lookin bitch whisper sweet nothings
are you kiddingm e
I cant watch this. I think its cringeworthy
I like one ASMR video where it's just a girl playing around with fake snow and stating some general facts about snow. The sound of the snow really reminds me of my childhood.
All other ASMR videos are just uncomfortable to me.
I haven't watched this, so I don't know if it's inherently cringeworthy or whether people are just uncomfortable because it's ASMR.
I've been watching/listening to ASMR to relax for a couple of years now. I get how a lot of people just won't understand it, but for me it's been a great way to relax, calm anxieties, fall asleep, etc.
This lady is probably the most accessible example of high quality ASMR (although a bunch of my favourites still use low quality gear)

That's subjective

Don't watch it then? I'm not sure I understand what your intentions are here

That's pretty much the point of the videos. ASMR is weird, it doesn't seem to happen for everyone. Different things give different people ASMR and as far as I know there's not much scientific research going on. It's a relaxing tingly feeling that some people get and that's all you can really describe it as
All I learned from this is that I accidentally set up my speakers wrong.
Whenever he speaks onto the left side of the camera the sound mostly comes out of the right speaker.
okay, i'll be the first one here to admit that ASMR turns me on.

don't you want to imagine your non-existant kawaii imouto [sp]cleaning your ears for you?[/sp]
ASMR videos of people talking are weird.
ASMR videos of things happening are oddly relaxing.

ASMR videos are actually really useful for me, I have insomnia so falling asleep is a huge pain in the ass. I don't like roleplay videos though. I stick mainly to just pure sound videos, haircut videos (with no talking) are really damn relaxing. I have tried watching those roleplay videos but they just feel awkward to me, I guess if that is someones thing though then whatever.
I watch ASMR videos to relax, and having someone talk in my ear doesn't really do it for me.

Everytime I try to shine my shoes I just get black polish allover my hands and then on my dick.
Why do people always post the "Awkward In Your Face Whisper In Your Ear" ASMR videos. These just turn people who've never experienced ASMR completely off of it.
At least put up something that won't make people feel uncomfortable.

This is what lets me get a good nights sleep right here.
I basically avoid all intentional ASMR videos because the cringe usually overshadows the relaxation and tingles.

my ears feel violated

there's a longer version where her voice suddenly becomes slightly distant and centered and it's accompanied by the sound of a zipper
gets me every time
Imagine if someone doing an ASMR video suddenly screamed into the microphone. :suicide:
Basically everyone who thinks this is uncomfortable have limited or zero experience of being intimate with a person. It intimidates you, and makes you uncomfortable.

that's a pretty harsh judgement to make; chances are they're either not comfortable with getting this intimate with absolute strangers or they are one of those who aren't affected by ASMR-type stuff and therefore the stranger-intimacy just feels inherently empty (thus uncomfortable) for them

Or, you know, it's just a bad video of ASMR.
