the first half of that was hilariously similar to valve's MvM trailer
Looks pretty brown and uninspired
the first half of that was hilariously similar to valve's MvM trailer
It doesn't seem like it at all.
Thought it'd be the Star Wars mod :(
Viktor Antonov worked on this just hope the gameplay steps it up. In-game it looks a lot better and more colourful don't let the CG bullshit fool you.
starring yulia tymoshenko?
Steampunk nations fighting eachother? I like the idea
So this is what, some kind of Steampunk Teamfortress?
Looks pretty sick. Digging the art style.
Thought it'd be the Star Wars mod :(
they probably have to change the name now before attracting a C&D, or some sort of other attention and then a C&D
Looks pretty brown and uninspired
Brown =/= bad
I don't know how to feel about all these companies announcing their games right before E3. Hope E3 still has plenty of surprises in store.
The weapon designs are rather interesting, I'm especially digging that Slotted 'Rail' gun
well, considering there's never really been a good steampunk game, it would be nice if this turned out well.
Has anything steampunk ever been good? Cyberpunk on the other hand

It's a 32-player team combat game with an alternate history twist. Set in a world where gunpowder is outlawed, it pits teams representing different countries against each other in enclosed warzones where international disputes are now resolved. Victory in the warzones translates into progression in a larger worldwide battle for supremacy being fought between the factions. For the purposes of the demo available for hands-on play, the factions are the British-themed Royal Marines and the Russian Cossack Empire. Neither looks how you'd expect them to, given their names. Instead, Antonov has taken historical stereotypes and given them a steampunk tweak. In the absence of ballistic weapons, these rival imperial forces have taken sword and bow designs to the next level using what Davis refers to as "pansophic technology". ... We're given access to Fracture, a map set in a ruined mining town in Northern England, for a few rounds of team deathmatch. Movement is certainly action-game slick, but finding the pulse of the game's curious take on melee fighting takes time. There doesn't appear to be much nuance, or indeed much skill, involved in getting a kill. Encounters tend to involve everyone running at each other, hacking and slashing away with no real accuracy or strategy. That's almost certainly down to the inexperience of the assembled journalists playing, but nor is it obvious where tactics for deeper play would grow from. With only one player class that can block - the Enforcer - it seems inevitable that battle will tend towards chaotic scrums.
basically a F2P teamfortress 2 with no guns. [editline]28th May 2014[/editline] i wouldnt hold out much hope.
Literally looks like they toke TF2 and reskinned it a little bit.
The setting they've chosen seems quite interesting, but those screenshots don't give me much hope for it being any good. Just by looking at the screenshots it's obvious it's a F2P game.
The shader they are using to make it look more cartoony is making it look like pure shit
I don't think I've ever seen a bigger disparity between the trailer and the actual product. :v:
I don't know how to feel about all these companies announcing their games right before E3. Hope E3 still has plenty of surprises in store.
e3 is a joke now. you can't even watch an announcement video and think that there is one ounce of truth in it anymore
Medieval Western Clockwork punk knights hussars Cossack with slightly oversized swords, bows, and guns? Interesting
the HOLY FUCK BATTLECRY, goddamn. that was awesome
okish trailer, crap screenshots
Eurogamer's preview worries me. Melee-based TF2 is all fine by me and in itself it's an incredible concept, but only if they were to pull it off correctly. Apparently they have not. I still keep my hopes up. It's just one preview.
I'll definitely try it out, but it doesn't look too great
It looks like it has serious graphics in the trailer, yet the gameplay screenshots show shitty cartoony graphics. I'll pass
Steam Fortress 2?
bethesda should be ashamed.
