Apparently this has been around awhile but it came out on steam early access yesterday
Double thread, oops. Could a mod delete the other thread please?
Wow
it's like the dream game i didn't even know i wanted
Yea, the original joke game came out middle of last year I think. Lots of coverage on it, then nothing happened. Looks like they are going to make it a real game.
oh cool i had forgotten about this
There was also a version of this that came with the Shadow Warrior reboot as a cross-promotion! Fun [tedious] stuff.
oh my god this just changed my world
i'm now thinking of every game that involves death and destruction in a completely new way

If you purchase this early access it comes with the Santas Rampage version and Shadow Warrior version.
definitely good for 8 dollars
I'll wait for it to be finished before I get it
This looks way more fun than it should.
space station 13 janitor simulator looks good

Price is going to increase as development continues.
cant wait to see intense speedruns
Before the most recent version. The text chat used DECTalk Paul, the same one Moonbase Alpha uses, it was glorious.

For Centration they should just port this entire game into it for the janitor job.

WTF? Come on. :( Why did they take it out?
It should totally be an optional thing.
Free version, without the laser, or medbay map has it. From the V2 update changelog:
-Inner voices of MS-Sam forever silenced
even though it's not MSSam, that means no more TTS :c
Viscera Cleanup Detail: Santa's Rampage is on the steam store for less then 3 dollars, it's been out for quite some time. I'm gonna assume this game is very very similar in terms of tools and how they function based on some screenshots from the Santa version. You can try that I guess
or the free alpha prototype on their page
I have the shadow warrior version and I only played it once because I ended up making a bigger mess than what was already there and it got me really frustrated and made my spic blood boil
best way to play this is in multiplayer
Having seen the Santa version, this game isn't as good as it looks. At first it's a fun little thing, but it quickly gets monotonous and then it just keeps going, getting more and more boring by the second.
Maybe they've improved things since the Santa version, but the sheer amount of shit they expect you to clean up (down to individual bullet casings you have to pick up), and with how easy it is to fuck up and spill a bucket all over the place and create a bigger mess, you'll never get done. You can spend an hour on one room in a level and not be finished with it.
It's fun to goof around with friends in it for a while but it's a game you could play once, never beat, and then never play again.

They could easily fix stuff like that by, say, adding a magnet tool that would pick up multiple bullet casings or other small metal objects in an area, and then having right click drop them.
Hopefully they fix stuff like that. This could honestly be a neat little game to run around in but they've already limited themselves to how much they can price it just because of the concept. If it surpasses $20 I don't see anyone buying it.
I spent two hours on the first map and I was like "hell yeah this bitch is spotless" and when I progressed to the office there was like a dozen newspaper clippings about people dying from slipping on bullet casings and freaking out from bullet holes.
I can't even clean things right in real life. I don't know what I expected.
Cleaning a place spotless then knocking over a bucket of bloody water and leaving bloody footsteps as you go get another bucket is something that can and will happen
Friggin bought it, kinda confused on how your machines work, at one point they start producing flesh refusing to give you the things you need. I know it's not some sort of way saying 'You have too much on the field already' because one time I actually had like 15 hazard boxes laying around and like 20 water buckets.
This isn't really a Scruffy simulator. Scruffy would just sit on a chair and nap all day.

I think that's meant to be a randomized way of pissing you off because it just makes another mess.
For how much content it has/the two other "episodes", it's worth the price. But the gameplay is something you need to take into consideration. Levels take a minimum of two hours to fully clean (unless you're a freak).
So what's the point of the laser thing? I've noticed all it seems to do is cause an even bigger mess.

it removes bullet holes
Wait a minute, this isn't Planet Express....
