Should i worry?
He hasn't really demonstrated enough evidence that he is a manual blacklist based on politics as he says. People like Russel Brand and John Oliver can likely easily transcend youtube's shitty mostly automated system because they are big "real world" media figures who would have real lines of communication. Actual youtubers, pretty much no matter what their politics, have been bitching about demonetization a lot lately. It's still possible that he was still hurt by the algorithm making assumptions without it necessarily being a politicized blacklist. Although one thing that does confuse me is that he shows lots of videos that are monetized? Maybe he appealed and won those idunno.
It could be possible that he was put on a sort of "blacklist" as of more recently
I mean it is certainly possible for the algorithm to be taking a "guilty until proven innocent" approach to channels that have had many monetization problems recently. Though I'd really avoid the assumptions of malice. Just like when content ID was what was killing youtube, it's pretty likely that it's google being very heavy-handed in response to other businesses being angry with them.
It's annoying how demonetization is even needed, an ad for something playing before a random sexist/racist youtube video wouldn't get anyone mad at the company advertised surely. I guess I'm just missing some reason Google can't just say "the ads are randomly assigned deal with it".

Companies don't want their ads on videos that don't represent their brand so if a video they don't like has their ad on it they pill their ads from Youtube and then nobody can make any money anymore.
Ew. Razorfist is like some kinda nega dimension, alt right Noah Antwiler.
companies give a shit about what their adverts are attached to. it's their public image and they don't want it associated with certain things.
I don't get why people are expecting advertisers to somehow know about every single video that their ads happen to play alongside. I don't get the concept of advertisements being "associated" with things. 90% of the time when I see an ad it's not related to anything beside it, and I don't get why they don't realize that there's such a ridiculously large amount of videos uploaded to Youtube every day that it's literally impossible to make sure everything you're advertising on happens to be something your company stands for. It pisses me off that this has to be some big complicated political thing, changing something that was efficient and working into something completely broken and useless.
Ew. Razorfist is like some kinda nega dimension, alt right Noah Antwiler.
can you stop resorting to name calling when you disagree with someone?
