I never noticed all the product placement in this game.
he's the best of the best gamers
homefront was such an awesome idea for a game, i was so disappointed when it turned out to be a cheap Call of Duty clone (not exaggerating) with awful writing

I enjoyed Homefront
The writing was ok in my opinion, but they made the campaign too short and they didn't really take advantage of the story's potential.
This game could've been awesome if they had made it a sandbox and included more interaction with the environment and all that jazz but unfortunately making CoD clones is easier I guess.

I could never see Korea taking over a entire continent with a population at-least 4x the size of its own. Thats what I didn't like about the game.

yeah i mean the premise isn't particularly realistic but i at least appreciated that it was somewhat fresh. every game ever is just america being "hoorah fuck russians". there's almost never a game where you get to play as someone in an occupied country, which is why it was interesting. it kinda turned the tables and was a refreshing departure from the bullshit where america is always infallible and unaffected.
Small poor country takes over most of Asia, attacks the Middle East, then takes over the US.
I cannot think of any way the game could have turned out well written.
I think they realized this and made it super gritty to try to shield us from the badness.
Your Teammates Kick Open Doors For You: The Game
seriously they kick open like 20 doors in the entire game, and you're constantly waiting on their commands and their actions. theyll even push you out of the way to climb ladders before you do.
i dunno if it gets any points from me for being so bossy

since when in the story did they attack the middle east? The only thing I saw was that the war in the middle east caused fuel lines to catch on fire and made gas prices skyrocket
it keeps happening!
For those of you who don't know, watch the intro to Homefront on youtube.
If you're an American, it induces a patriotgasm.

a patriotgasm?
I don't play cod clones so I was surprised by the amount of hand holding these games have. You could barely call it a game. It went "Find some explosives" and then a foot away from you are some explosives.
Homefront had so much potential but the gameplay lacks.

I'm not even an American and the intro still made me want to murder every single Korean I could find in the most sadistic way possible.
[editline]i mean[/editline]
The bus ride sequence, I mean.
[editline]also[/editline]

hold rmb button to aim
press lmb to shoot
if you aim while shooting you can aim better
kill this guy to win the game by doing x
you cant go that way
etcetc, such complete bullshit
The bus sequence at the beginning of this game is great, and still sends chills down my spine. Too bad you turn into a one man army after that.
i love it how he was captured from his home and when he grabs a gun he's equipped with gloves and an army jacket

he had gloves on in the cutscene in his home, even. watch when he pushes the guy trying to grab him.
The bus ride is alright. As soon as the truck comes crashing into the bus, and you're literally forced into fighting by some guys you don't even care about, it all goes downhill.
I was really depressed when i see those parents saying "Close your eyes!" and get their chests filled with bullets. That kid's cry.
