Driving half-life 2 vehicles is so mind numbingly dull. It should be planes and hovercrafts!

vehicles in Half life 2/Garrys mod in general are dull.

But it was awesome when HL2 came out.

You'd be surprised. On the server I was playing on you could earn upgrades, there was even one guy that made a car that could fly temporarily.

GTA San Andreas
not enough powerup's
Attack of the sky-based normal map.
This looks very similar to a gamemode a friend of mine made like four years ago, Goat Racer.
Why doesn't the gamemode us scars or something like that instead of the standard buggies?
Why is the skybox a normal map?
That gamemode is pretty lame, It's not really a competition of skill, it's a competition of "how many losses are you willing to grind to get the upgrade parts" because people who played on the server longer will have all the fancy upgrades and shit, and short of completely fucking up they will pretty much always win.
Racing games using the default source vehicles, hell just source vehicles at all won't work.
Looks fun. Also got me to want to reinstall Gmod.
If only it were easier to make racing maps in source engine.

I can't actually see the skybox because whoever made this video thought that it was really exciting to stare at the steering wheel for the whole video instead of looking up.
Why not play MelonRacer? It's more fun than driving either HL2 ground vehicles.
