[hd]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O9W9Vdgcok0[/hd] Holy shit [sp]making coasters too wild will make them crash[/sp] Also loving the clean and simple menus.
Well shit, that's disappointing.
Perhaps it can be turned off, i for one actually like the feature since now you gotta pay more attention on how you make the track. Also want to add that i hope they add that if you got a very complicated coaster that you like, need to increase the inspection/maintenance rate because otherwise things like breaks or chainlift could fail which would require you to add emergency breaks. (RCT3 had it kind off but it never happened)
That is awesome.
Well shit, that's disappointing.
"ugh, MORE explosions?"
that looks great
i can already predict the many hours that will be lost to this can't wait!
Is this still the the early 2000's? Get screen recording program, not a damn camera.
This version continues to blow the previous one out of the water with every new piece of info revealed. [sp]Not like that's really hard to do.[/sp]
"ugh, MORE explosions?"
It's an added restriction to how you can build your coasters. I'm gonna be annoyed about that, yeah. Every explosion that you were able to make before in RCT was either deliberate, or a bit more obvious. This is a straight up restriction.
This is looking so neat, is there any estimated release date anywhere?
This looks like it'll be fun as fuck. Looks way more promising than RCT3 ever was.
This is looking so neat, is there any estimated release date anywhere?
Probably Holidays 2015 - Q1 2016
This looks like it'll be fun as fuck. I think all of the RCT's have been great games, I'm hoping this one continues to focus on what made the old ones good instead of any gimmicks, building a balls to wall insane park which was cool as all heck. Hoping there will at least be a cheat option to turn things like coaster flying off, but it's nice to have these kind of gameplay options regardless.
i'm glad this game is finally starting to look coming from it's terrible history with developer switches and bad rep
this one has no connection with that shitty mobile one that everyone was disappointed at, right? it's like a real "sequel" to rtc3?
this one has no connection with that shitty mobile one that everyone was disappointed at, right? it's like a real "sequel" to rtc3?
Development has changed hands like two or three times to get it to where it's at now - which is a very good place, by all accounts. Worth keeping up with the blog: http://www.rollercoastertycoon.com/rollercoaster-tycoon-world-production-blog-15-post-gamescom-recap-and-feature-list-updates/
this one has no connection with that shitty mobile one that everyone was disappointed at, right? it's like a real "sequel" to rtc3?
I think the mobile development company got destroyed by Atari after they put out that awful trailer. In any case, a different company is now working on it.
Well shit, that's disappointing.
I do and don't like it, I can live and I'm sure there will be a cheat to turn that off for when I want to go nuts. I do like the more realistic speed though. Looks like the UI is going the new Sim City/Sims 4 route
From the looks, I obviously maybe wrong but from the video it looks like they're removed the xbone zoo tycoon type of zone building to an open field/land
I'm sure there will be an option/cheat code to turn it off

This new one seems better, but back when I was even a kid playing it it started wearing thin after a year or so, while RCT2 remained a favorite. RCT3 is a solid game, just not my cup of tea.
They better still let us open the coasters up to the public before testing it. I want that "Most Unsafe Park" award.
I always thought RCT3 was phenomenal; everything I loved about RCT2, but with the added bonus of getting to ride your coasters. RCT World is looking like it's shaping up to be pretty great too. The curved paths and spline based coasters are something I've wanted for ages. Biggest concern I have with the video is that the coaster that crashed didn't really look all that extreme, but maybe different coasters will have different tolerances or something. One thing I always thought would be cool, and I hope is in this game, is a first person camera, so you can go down to ground level and walk around your Park. The freelook camera in 3 was kinda like that, but it never quite worked like I had hoped.
They better still let us open the coasters up to the public before testing it. If not, there will probably be a cheat to allow coasters to be opened without testing/disabling coasters flying off.

I cannot wait for this. Seems like changing developers was a smart idea.
it looks good.....It actually looks good. |Holy shit I can reignite my hype!
why is this the thing I'm most excited about
What would you even use that for?
