I hate these tablets because they have no functionality what so ever compared to your laptop, or desktop, and they're just a fad. Maybe in the future they'll be pretty sweet, and they already have SOME interesting features, but for what you pay, fuck that.
And that screen.. A good 50% of the surface is letterboxed judging from that video, not even being used or utilized

A few days ago I probably would have agreed, but honestly, other than the lack of start button and the metro UI looking fucking hideous, I don't think that 8 will be bad at all.

It's my opinion dipshit, but now that it's on the internet you can borrow it if you'd like
Windows 8 is going to be Meh, Just like Vista, hopefully with less bugs. You can fork over the $200 if you want but why waste the money. Good luck with your hopes and dreams

Oh boy, name calling, how neat. I don't care if you think every other version sucks, that's fine, I just find it weird that you would use that to say that the next version automatically sucks without even using it.
Windows 8 is pretty good actually. Give the Release Preview a try, it's much faster than 7 and they made a lot of great improvements to thing like the task manager and reset and refresh. Vista was pretty great too, yeah it was horrible at launch because of driver issues but by the time SP1 was out it was a huge improvement over XP.

Probably sticking with Windows 7. We went through how many versions of this product, and now that we've settled in, they want to try to be like apple in some mid-life crisis.

These things are cool. I would get one if I had money to spend like that. I know now they're only just getting the grip of things I just hope in the future when Microsoft show something, they show it being stable and easy to use.

Besides he handled it well, they had back up tablets at his disposal incase anything went wrong and he quickly went on with the show.
Not wanting to start some hate shitstorm or anything.
But I find the illuminated logo on the audiences' macbooks somewhat funny.
He should have grabbed the backup device sooner instead of making it completely obviously that the one in his hand became totally unresponsive.
