I got up really early yesterday to record this:

It was the first time a Boeing 787 "Dreamliner" visited Sweden, and more specifically Stockholm Arlanda.
I hope you enjoy, and if you do, maybe leave a like?
I fucking love planes.
Seriously, if you aren't impressed by planes, watch some video documentary type things about them, and see how incredibly complex everything is, particularly the engines.
Cool video about 747:

I'm surprised something so big and heavy can slow down to a crawl so quickly. I was expecting the landing to have more impact.
This thing has so much lift that the composite wings flex upwards by like meters :v:
In other news the space shuttle Endeavor just landed in LA just a couple minutes ago. There are cool things landing all over the place right now!
It's always wild to me how the wings, while in flight and even full of fuel, flex and end up above the fuselage
Rents is excited
unbelievable
How did you get the radio traffic of the plane?

They usually broadcast it through shortwave AM, just tune to the correct channel. Some places even have big speakers that are tuned in and are broadcasting to the viewing area.

That's likely the best hour I've spent in recent memory. Thank you.
I have a friend who has a Dad who is currently helping (attempt) to boost the production speed of the 787. The reason they came out so slow is because Boeing outsourced a lot of things, and they are not coming in ready to assemble. They take time to rebuild and modify, while keeping safety and integrity intact. Just an FYI
Damn, those are some huge engines. Look how small the security car looks compared to them.
Really digging those wings and engine.
beautiful airplanes. hope i'm fortunate to fly one one day and not get stuck with a 737 from the 70's
