Episode starts at 1:49 and ends at 7:03 if anyone was wondering.
I don't think there's any term that Early Access embodies better than 'this is why we can't have nice things'.
Steam should get its shit together but Jim really has it set.
He can basically just keep making the same video but with a different game every week.

He is sort of beating a dead horse now isn't he.

His response to that is that if he stops talking about it people would eventually start accepting the cancers, such as microtransactions in 60$ games or Greenlight Asset Flips, killing the game industry as norm, so he goes out of his way to highlight every time this happens until it dies off.

I believe Early Access can, actually, be used well sometimes. Not all the time sure, in fact it has a reputation for a reason, but I wouldn't label every Early Access game as being the same thing. Same goes for greenlight.

Makes sense to me. There used to be an incredibly hard drive against Online-Always DRM or other forms of forcing people to stay online all the time. Nowdays I feel as if that's calmed down quite a bit as people have stopped caring.

I feel like this is a dead end though. As mentioned before, there has always been and still will be a fight against, say, Online-Only DRM, and yet devs continue to do it almost commonly. There will always be pushback to stupid ideas, but you simply can't stop stupid. You can only stop supporting it. Valve obviously isn't gonna wrap up the whole early access thing any time soon or fix it, because it's been three years since it's been instated and nothing has been done to fix it, except refunds which was only a minor fix and apart of a much bigger problem.
I just don't think Jim can proclaim this as productive for anyone except himself and the chunk of his audience who still care for this kind of content.

It's not dead until the issue is solved, until then Jim is just going to keep going on and on about it.
You can't let things get burried under the rug if it's going to result in things getting worse and worse.
How can you stand up and record yourself putting things into a fleshlight sleeve for your video game centered show and not think its cringey? I get that it was a joke, but seriously dude.
