Surprisingly well done.
That was excellent.
That was pretty awesome
That was good. The VFX on the [sp]mech-robot thing at the end[/sp] sucked though.
Okay that was pretty fucking cool.
That was good. The VFX on the [sp]mech-robot thing at the end[/sp] sucked though.
It looked ok right up til it got rammed.
That was fucking incredible.
Anyone else remember watching this older version and going: Man, I wish they did a longer version? They did good.
Generic as fuck plotwise but still good. [sp]The British soldiers were a nice add[/sp]
Generic as fuck plotwise but still good. [sp]The British soldiers were a nice add[/sp]
[sp]British soldiers? What are you referring to? One of the character having an accent or? Because none of those troops were British. They all wore American flags.[/sp]
[sp]I gathered the other 'Ghosts' (The other party that arrives to snatch the nuke) were of British origin, since the chick asking for the nuke has a British accent, and their technology is you know, a BIT more advanced than those Ultranationalists[/sp] [editline]16th May 2012[/editline] Game plot theory: [sp]British are actually the bad guys, they're shooting a nuke at themselves to antagonize the Russians and doing something behind the scenes. Maybe using one of the warhead on themselves then firing the rest at America or something? I gathered this mostly from the British chick, the other 'Ghosts' and the Launch trailer saying noone knows where the nuke was fired from, Kremlin denying responsibility and all.[/sp]
[sp]Hmm. It's actually a really tough call. The robot and the camo tech they had seemed to be pretty advanced. I can't tell for sure because you never get a clear shot of their uniform or even their weapons. I do see most of them have AK variants but I -think- I saw on L85 carbine in the bunch but Special Forces usually use whatever they want. (Example: US 'Ghosts' in the video use a P90 and G36) so perhaps it is the SAS or something. It would make sense if they were British and a super original twist for once. But I lack the solid evidence to say for sure who they are.[/sp] [sp]Edit: Took a look again, the soldiers are all using Eastern bloc weapons. What I thought was an AUG or L85 is a bullpup Russian gun, I can tell by the grip, gas block and mag. The name escapes me. But none of those soldiers are using anything other than Russian weapons. The cloaks and drone are arguably already in the Russian arsenal according to the teaser trailer also posted in this thread. The helicopter at the end is Russian too. It doesn't actually rule out the 'British' theory. They could be contractors or rouge elements, or simply SAS who knew enough not to get caught. "Don't bring anything that makes it obvious we are British" if you watched the video they used a grenade to destroy the body of the downed 'Ghost' Operator so no one knew who they were/that they were even there. They could be doing the same thing by adopting regional weaponry. Also the robot-things computers are all programmed in cyrillic, if you watch when it locks onto gun fire and missiles it's all written in Russian.[/sp]
The guns you speak of are called Grozas, OTs-14 is the official designation.
Russian voice-over was pretty well.
Would be sweet if they manage to make a proper cloak in multiplayer, because the effect in that vid would be awesome for the game. Pretty much undetectable whilst still and not really visible if in shadows.
Russians and nukes? Come on...
I thought the cloaked guys were Russian special forces on the same job as the Ghosts. I mean it's not like they're going to play nice and ask the Ghosts to step aside, the Ghosts are probably in the country illegally.
Poor Sidrovich...
Wow, until the huge robo-thing came it felt like a late 90's Bond movie. Just how I like 'em. Awesome.
