I have wanted to play this game on my channel for quite a while now and decided it would be a good way to get ready for the upcoming sequel, "Metro Last Light"
Hope you guys like it, but if you don't that's fine to! There's a dislike button for a reason.

Don't do commentary until your voice changes.

Thanks for the advice!
Sure alot of people are going to criticize you for your voice, exactly like they do me, I dont do commentaries, but i do suggest not to, atleast for a few months or a year. Im sure your close to hitting puberty, Hope your youtube career does you fine!

Well, you've got the right attitude at least. I'm tired to see "lik and subscrib plos" all the time.

Well at least I'm not the only one, thanks.
If you're planning to get big, I recommend getting some other username though.

I don't mind people reminding me to rate their video, but when people tell me to like the video, that irritates me.

Yeah I know
at least your intro isn't complete shit/earrape/dubstep and actually is sensible and intelligent
never change the intro
as for everything else, I really don't find the point in commentaries but, I think trying thick research for explanations on things really helps. Same as editing out deaths properly / trying to read a few things from a script. Lack of random chat helps too.
But that's just how I'd do it. At least.
Though, I think if I got serious I would take a voice masker, make a persona of an alcoholic basement dweller with a heroine addiction, then make a very detailed script explaining the game and totally fuck it up, all the names will be incorrect, the storyline will be from another video game but altered, and try and piss off as many people as I can. Mix the best gamer and Mr Plinnket.
furthermore, if you want to increase editing I suggest highly to record your mic separately in Audacity. This way you can delete awkward moments where you say things you very much want edited out. What I do if I record any video is delete anything secondary so it just instantly skips pauses / quick save abuse / inventory sorting / etc. Virtual Dub helps. So does this for VDub.
Just useful ideas.
As much as people don't like non-low voices, a quality microphone would make it sound fine I'm sure. Something like an AT2020, C10U, or something around there would make a big difference in the clarity of your voice. You don't need a low voice to sound good. I think you just need more practice to adjust to how a microphone can make you sound. Those microphones might be a bit out of your price range, but the effect they add to a video, even commentary can be huge.
That's my only advice right now as I just watched about a minute.

Thanks for the feedback! It's nice to get some actual suggestions instead of the usual "nice vid bro".

Thanks I'll look into the Mic's that you suggested, hopefully getting a higher end Mic will help with the quality of my videos!
I liked the intro visually but I found that the sound hurt my ears
i cant be the only one that glimpsed at the title and thought it was Metro 2033 2 gameplay

I think you probably have lower tones in your voice, but the current microphone makes you sound thin. A better mic might pick up those tones and make your voice sound more balanced.
If you want real world examples. Not plugging specifically, but I've been using my AT2020 USB mic for a few years now directly with Dxtory and I get great results. This is an example of something: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CjGW9Gc9oMw
Also from my own experience, it can sometimes be hard to not nitpick on small things and make a deal out of something small or unimportant in order to fill time. I still do it and try not too as I think I come off as just saying stuff for the sake of saying. Not saying you are but maybe when watching back your content you might find stuff like that. It works for SOME people, but it's a good habit to avoid if you can. The more you make of these the more you will cement certain habits, so it's a good idea to sort them out early.

since I'm Currently on a train full of drunk college kids screaming, I can't really hear the Audio, but I'll definitely check it out once I get off. I'll try some of your techniques for recording to try to improve my videos.

This is funny because you of all people posted it.
Wow, I have to say I am thrilled Facepunch is being so nice here rather than token flaming. That's what scares me into not doing things like this.
