Supposedly they used a pre-release build of the original release from two years ago (and thus pre-patches) as the basis for the Director's Cut...

Saw this last night, and I'm still not sure if it's just this guys PC or if they really fucked it up this bad

Welp, probably should've looked for reactions before buying it. Currently I can't install it (neither via the game library nor the fat Install button after purchase) and the game library entry description says it's coming out soon. Oh well, just gonna wait until they fix it I guess.

It's not out yet in Europe.
It comes out later today, it's just that you can buy it already.

According to the steam store it was released 5 hours ago, there was a countdown to release and everything. This is just a fucked up steam release.
Sad to see that even once they finally unlock it it's full of already fixed bugs, was really looking forward to it. :(
What does the Directors Cut even give you?

"Enhanced graphics" meaning changed and slightly improved lightning, The Missing Link and Tong's Mission DLC is integrated into the main game, the bossfights have extra stealth/hacking/other ways to solve them, a dev commentary, a guide is supposed to be included as well (I think), a newgame+ and some other stuff I'm probably forgetting
The friend of mine who's had it since Tuesday says he can't find any bugs.
So I think bugs might be only on some peoples computers due to whatever reason.
Seems the price reduction for owning both DXHR and the Missing Link DLC was also bugged. Now a whole bunch of people paid 5€ instead of 4€.
I probably wouldn't mind one wasted Euro (tho it is a good chunk of the small final price) if the damn thing even worked. But this way it's oil in the fire for a very dissatisfied Steam Community Hub.
Kinda doubt they'll bother paying it back, but a couple people say they've sent support tickets because pretty much everything about this launch is a confusing, buggy mess.
Apparently the price change even somehow resulted in higher prices for the UK. Somehow.

Bugged European release most likely, not something specific to certain computers.
I feel bad for Wii U owners, they don't have a non "pritchardpritchardpritchard" editon.

Since i haven't finished HR yet this looked like the perfect time to finish it with the Directors Cut, guess i have to wait even longer till they fixed this stinking mess.

I'd be happy as hell if they finally made it downloadable, the store countdown ended 7 hours ago and there's still not been any proper word from steam but that partial refund is also nice
Good game guys. You made a good game.
Just re-checked my game library, I can now install and download. Full 15GB, too, so it seems to be a completely clean install instead of an upgrade.
What a shame. And I was going to buy this. I guess I'll wait until a fixed version ships.
Hopefully within six months.
