this movie looks insane
i really seriously need to give the older ones a watch finally
that was a badass trailer
I guess one could say it's rather mad.
Mad Max is one of my favourite documentaries.
God that looks fantastic.
I will miss Mel Gibson, but I am liking that trailer, a lot.
So are the old movies as insane as this? I'm thinking I should probably give them a watch.
God damn.
This looks amazing.
i have a mancrush on tom hardy no homo

They aren't on a huge scale or anything but they still got really impressive car crashes n stuff.

Mad Max 2 was batshit insane when it came out.
First movie or any media afaik that pioneered crazy raider bad asses that you see often in todays video games.

Road Warrior inspired Hokuto no Ken which inspired JoJo's Bizarre Adventure.
It's all thanks to Mad Max 2.
I forget, how does water run out on a planet with the surface made out of 70% water with huge ice caps?
Movie looks rad. The music in the second half of this trailer reminds me a lot of the original trailers for Battle Royale.

An Australian origin story I think we can all relate to.
I am so fucking hard right now.
I'm excited. Not only do I love these films, but this is still going be made like the previous films. If something is destroyed, it's destroyed. CGI is minimal.

lets see you drink salt water without dying
or build large enough desalination plants in a post oil world.
this looks really promising
It's strange that I'm getting a Waterworld vibe, but there is no water. :v: It's like the opposite of Waterworld, but there's still pirates? Desert pirates? Looks amazing.
Mad Max 1 doesn't really lead into MM2. If you guys have not seen Road Warrior, watch it!

Tom Hardy was the best choice to go with for replacing him. I feel he'll nail it.

I feel that most people should start the series by watching Mad Max 2, because that's where the heart of it is. Mad Max 1 feels like something you would watch as a prequel to the real thing, not its first episode.
holy shit this trailer is absolutely bonkers.
they're fucking rocking out on the back of a truck

with a flamethrower guitar
I love how over saturated the film is, makes the explosions look amazing.
so is this a reboot or a sequel? also glad they seem to be keeping the aussie accents
either way looks rad

no word on it yet. some say it takes place between mad max 2 and thunderdome, others are saying it's a reboot because there's gonna be a sequel to fury road called furiosa
they already said that majority of the car scenes are real stuntmen and cars, which adds a ton more weight to the insane crashes/explosions.
I remember watching Mad Max 1. Never got a chance to see #2 because people kept telling me that #1 was the best Mad Max and that I had to see them in order. Man that film was fucked up. Didn't look like an apocalypse at first, but the psychos running the roads gave off that "society and civil protection is dead" feeling that really works.
