But can it crush a Nokia?
I know NASA and space companies take calibration of force, pressure, etc. devices extremely seriously. Like incredibly long documents on how the entire procedure should be done and how many people check off on it, etc. You can see why it's so important. If you have a 10% error, something the size of a rocket or jet engine, you're gonna have a big problem on your hands.
The mechanism for lifting each section of the weight up in sequence is very clever. I'd like to get a closer look at the joints though, especially how they were initially attached.
