Ok so a quick googling revealed that this an OVA series with three episodes and that the kamikazi one is the second of the three. [url]http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Cockpit_(OVA)[/url]
Is he supposed ot be flying a special sort of plane because that does not look like a Zero to me.

Since the technology wasn't good enough to have radio controlled or heat seeking weapons, they had to fly them in manually.
