No one can save us from this grimdark future.
Hey if there can be a huge version of monopoly, there can be this too
But man, do I wish it didn't exist
Jesus Mario Lopez how the mighty have fallen.
Of all the game shows they could make based on actual games, they choose a shitty one. That said, I'd love to see them make a game show based on The Sims
E. Forgot Big Brother is a thing.
What hath man wrought?
You have to give EA, since they own PopCap, a tiny bit of credit for not being so desperate to cash in on Bejeweled to make a game show of it.
Hopefully this ends up another summer filler that is gone and forgotten about come September.
IT'S BEJEWELED YOU FUCKS
So are American game shows more ridiculous than Japan's now?
Not in a good way..
Fuckin, a real life temple run would have been so much more interesting then this. Or most other games would have been more interesting then this.

Everything is corporate sponsored. Virtually all television shows on mainstream TV is just glorified product placement. I heard about a game show called "beat shazam" which features jamie foxx on fox with the whole gimmick being "guess the song faster than shazam."
That's what counts as quality on fucking fox. We've got TBS that's just running family guy and big bang theory re runs on repeat, all the premium channels just show softcore porn rather than real content at late night. The last TV show I gave a shit about (better call saul) went on a two week hiatus so some bullshit could take up it's timeslot and they could trick your DVR into recording it!
I used to laugh at the idea but honestly, netflix and amazon and hulu original shows are proving to be better than content that you pay a hundred bucks a month for and still have to sit through ads to watch!
And netflix/hulu/amazon originals are 90% trash!!!
And I thought they couldn't go any lower than the emoji movie
Wait a second... Anyone else getting weird flashbacks to Nickelodeon GAS?

Yeah I kind of got that impression too. Its amazing how much more interesting GAS shows were though when compared to this.
Any guesses what "hit mobile game" is getting a TV Show? Im putting my bets on Farmville.

His post and your reply just made me realize I'm getting older.

I mean they already made Shazam into a show and that's not even a game
Why..
this just screams "canned after 1 season."
wait i don't get it, candy crush is just a connect three game right? like bejeweled or the thousands of other similar titles?
you literally cannot make a gameshow out of this. i don't care what they end up producing, it doesn't count. blowing an app up onto a big screen so people can watch it at home on their own big screens is dumb. just dumb.

Wait until they go full circle. "You all love the Candy Crush TV show...Now you can play it on your mobile device! Introducing Candy Crush TV Show: The Video Game! Play the game you love watching, just like you were really there!"

they should make that game into a board game

My favorite thing I saw on TV recently was an ESPN (IIRC) show entirely dedicated to the hosts making reaction images in Bitstrips.
I'm not shitting you that's the whole show.

Sometimes I call the times we live in "The Limbo Age", as everybody seemingly tries to achieve a new low.
they should make that game into a board game
They should make a film of that board game.
They should make a film of that board game.
And then 23 years later reboot the movie by making it about a video game starring The Rock.
The way that people are acting in this trailer is so overhyped, it feels so "engineered."
And this is coming from someone who has ADHD.
I threw up a little watching this

Who the hell even is Mario Lopez?

Well, it IS a promotional video/commecial. They want to give the illusion that it's fun and exciting. And the kind of person who would watch this sees staged for a promo excitement as the same as actual excitement.
I don't think they would be able to air this if it shows the truth: people sobbing and begging to be set free. Visible shackles and chains as well as armed guards to prevent escape. You know, the real studio.
