The PS3 must have lit a fire under Sony's ass because even as a die-hard 360 fanboy I could not even attempt to justify the paperweight that was the Xbone. My jaw pretty much dropped at the quality gap during those E3 presentations.
They pretty much fixed every single problem the PS3 had and is now rocking the better exclusives. I'll gladly miss out on Halo 9 if it means getting games like Death Stranding.

It always did... My 360 was essentially just a Fable machine. Even with Halo and Gears, they were going for brown while Playstation did both Brown and Technicolor. Even with absolute rapey third party support (red dead disaster-port) the exclusives managed to carry the machine past what was a disaster launch worse than that of the Xbone.
Meanwhile the Xbone is crying snot in the corner and cutting its wrists in a bid for any kind of consumer attention.

I still remember how I got laughed ady when we got a PS3 for Christmas.
By the end of that generation my friends all had PS3s for the exclusives like LBP and Uncharted.
I don't think anyone will deny the PS3 had a rough couple opening years but after they finally got their ass in gear it really came into its own.
In my humble opinion PS3 had, and still has, some of the best exclusives of that console generation.
