This is so cool, I can't wait to see further videos about this!
This is installed on all Tesla cars from now, however it has to be purchased to unlock the feature.
the next goal is getting an autonomous quadcopter to land on top of your car to give you tacos.
car DLC?
no, more like a microtransaction. But I get it, this must be expensive as shit to develop

I find it great as Tesla can gather data from a non-AP enabled car, and the owner/future owners can choose to purchase it after the car is produced.
Imagine the costs of retrofitting this.

Apparently higher than the cost of the car itself.
maybe its the way it's filmed but it looks like it moves kind of erratically? and it seems to take some pretty atrocious arcs on the corners and cuts the lines
still really impressive though, especially navigating the parking lot. it would be spooky as hell seeing that in the street just driving around so naturally, the wheel turning on it's own :v:

The footage appears sped up, which makes things look more erratic. I guess they were taking things slowly to test it.
Please note that Self-Driving functionality is dependent upon extensive software validation and regulatory approval, which may vary widely by jurisdiction. It is not possible to know exactly when each element of the functionality described above will be available, as this is highly dependent on local regulatory approval. Please note also that using a self-driving Tesla for car sharing and ride hailing for friends and family is fine, but doing so for revenue purposes will only be permissible on the Tesla Network, details of which will be released next year.
