This is why many old people shouldn't be allowed to drive.

When you become 70 years old in Denmark, you have to renew your license every few years. I have a feeling the above statement would work pretty well in Russia, however. :v:

Over here you just need to say you're capable of driving, you don't actually need to be tested again which is pretty silly.

You guys have an awesome driver's ed program though.

Do we? All I've heard so far is that getting a licence in the US is super easy and cheap compared to here.

Germany makes you learn how to recover from a skid on a wet track. Most states in the US you just drive around a circle and parallel park. Any retard can do it.

My driving teacher hung out the passenger-side window when someone tried fucking with me because of the "Student Driver" sticker on the back of their test car, then gave zero fucks about whether I could parallel park. We just hung out and drove around a parking lot.
Aced the test though, it really is too easy. Don't know how I didn't fail though when the passenger side door in the car I drove for my test swung open (handle would stick, was an old Sunfire, had to push it down before closing the door and the old lady that was riding with me on my test didn't push it down).
The most intense thing my driving instructor made me do was set off on a lesson at 7am when I'd just woken up. I could barely even open my eyes. Hardcore -sorry to embarrass you Germany.
I have the Abarth version of this car. My handbrake is shit.

What, you run over a few people because you're blind, they say you can't drive, and you just politely tell them "oh yes I can", and they let you go on about your business? :v:

Isn't that just a bunch of sticker badges and even more unsafety?

I think a literal retard could do better than most of the drivers in the US.

Especially in Maryland. People can't drive for shit here. Even the threat of rain makes people lose their minds.
I'm amazed how shitty drivers there are in finland considering it's 20 theory lessons and 20 driving lessons minimum before you even get to attempt the test

Really? I thought a lot of the best drivers in the world come from there. Tons of race drivers too.

How hard are the theoretical lessons in the US?
We have to have at least 14 hours (I think) of theory and pass a mostly multiple-choice test before we can do our first driving lesson.

Driver's ed classes vary by state. When I took it you basically watch videos and they teach you common sense. Then you have like 10 or so hours of behind the wheel training with an instructor when you get your permit. 50 hours before you can take your license test.

Because IDs are issued per state, it can very wildly differ.
In my state for example, you have to take a 50 question multiple choice to get your learners permit. After getting your learners permit (15-18yr old) you need to attend and complete a drivers education course (18 hours classroom, 6 hours driving, 6 hours driving observation), after that you then need 40 hours of driving experience (Someone 21 or older needs to sign off) with 10 at night. You then need to complete a driving test to get your full ID. If you're 19+ then you can skip the classroom and 40 hour requirement, you just need to wait 30 days and take a driving test.
Should have taken a hint that something was wrong. If she couldn't hear it, she should at least be able to feel it in the car. It's not something that goes by unnoticed when the wheels are completely locked.

Retarded people are retarded.

It varies by state.
Here in CT driver's ed is optional and the only theory that's mandatory is an 8 hour drug and alcohol course and one theory test that's 25 questions long and insultingly easy.

In my state just about everything is optional, aside from the 25 question theory test, then you are required to be on a learners permit for 6 months before getting a full license (after another theory test and short driving test). This is how it was for me 9 years ago, don't think anything's changed though.
The only reason anyone takes drivers ed courses is for insurance reasons. Which I did.
That being said, the most memorable thing on one of my driving lessons is my instructor told me how she strangled her hamster to death to put it out of its misery. :what:
I wouldn't call that a theory test dude.

Somehow, people still fail it. Which might explain some things.

Yeah I've heard driver ed stories of people asking if (they were serious about this) they could be arrested for possessing weed "underage." This was before medicinal pot was a thing.
This is why many old people shouldn't be allowed to drive.
I was shocked when I saw a senile guy with thickest glasses, who barely managed to walk on his own to the car, got into it and drove off. It happened back when I was in UK, in Estonia people barely drive when they are old.
Old people should get medical checks bi-yearly to be able to continue to drive cars IMO.

fuck man here in washington if you're over 18 you can just take a multiple choice test and the theory test, no lessons required
Something tells me the person in this video wouldn't be much of a better driver if she were fresh off the tests.
I've met a lot of old people who are actually good drivers, so I don't automatically look at old people with an undying hatred. Some people age well, others just didn't bother taking care of themselves and age terribly.
