FUCK YES
Looks really promising and really nice.
It looks great but i expected them to show more than this considering it's been 3 years since the game was announced.
Perhaps it's a little early, but judging by the huge value of that generic weapon, I'm assuming they still haven't worked out how to create a proper 'economy'. :C Looking forward to spending 34,000 Denars on a helmet that's a single point better than a 200 Denar helmet, and then selling it for 5 Denar. And of course robbing 2 Bandits giving me enough money to arm and feed an army of 200 men for a month.
having just first tried m&b a few weeks ago, i dropped it right around the stage where you try to break off from your king to start your own kingdom. somewhere around 60 hours probably? I couldn't manage to get any lords on my side, and it got to a point where I was just doing the same thing over and over again and not having much fun with it. i really hope that in this game they sort of facilitate that transition and give some more direction for that stage of the game; because the basic formula of the game is really fun. i wanted to finish it but i couldn't manage, the persuasion system was complex and unforgiving.
BOARD GAMES!!!!!!!!!!11
Better slow and steady then ubisoft and crash n' burn
The game was announced almost 3 years ago and we still don't know much about it at all. Other than a video showing some improved engine features this is the most substantial thing we've had so far, and it's only a 3 minute trailer that doesn't really show much.
I'm surprised. I was expecting just more of the same. Not much of an update visual wise, not too many new mechanics, but this looks pretty awesome

It's possible they're just finishing the overhaul of the engine and actual gameplay content will start to increase pretty quickly now. Worth mentioning as well that there are only 42 employees there
No word on any release date? :(
The board games bit should have been kept out of the trailer. It's a mini game, no one cares about shitty minigames. It shouldn't take up 1/4 of the video. Other than that it looks great. Graphics are already outdated but when was mount and blade about graphics.

Oh fuck you can actually make yourself Boilerdang Curdlesnoot with actual british teeth and everything
It would be epic if they created some Cinebox/sourcefilmmaker app for the new bannerlord engine. Because the map creation tools and scene creation is astounding.
I'm slightly disappointed in the fact that they still have baseball-swing side attack animations with a longsword at the moment, but the block animations look way more realistic. I'd love if there were multiple fighting styles with separate animations.
Am I the only one who is largely unimpressed with this? Crucify me if you will, but nothing in the trailer really stood out to me.
Hell yeah, I've been waiting for an actual gameplay trailer. While I did enjoy M&B so far, it only really excels at modding. I always found the vanilla game insanely repetitive and lacking in more diverse features. I did put hours and hours into warband but in the end, the lack of any sophisticated lore really kills it for me, I always end up making up a story of my own to motivate me but it always falls apart once I realize that I'm just doing endless repetitive chores. All the lords with their lack of any personality just become blips on the map that fulfill the exact same purpose, all the towns and villages are completely the same and there is really no reason to walk the streets, safe for the occasional quest. But I still find myself having fun with M&B, especially with good mods. Just the way the Clash of Kings mod introduces ASOIAF content adds such extreme levels of fun for me, everything becomes embedded in a really deep lore and suddenly I find myself having some sort of motivation to dislike this person or to conquer that place, joining a special lord because I can pretend to support their cause, rather than just picking the guys whole banner I like the least and setting out to wreck their shit. I'm super hyped for this.
PLEASE tell me you can choose to resolve political alliances through board games.
PLEASE tell me you can choose to resolve political alliances through board games.
Lose at a board game. Start war.
Am I the only one who is largely unimpressed with this? Crucify me if you will, but nothing in the trailer really stood out to me.
For us Mount vets the footage of the siege weapons made this video amazing.
For us Mount vets the footage of the siege weapons made this video amazing.
They seem a bit disappointing based on what they showed. It looks like they're be how the siege towers/ramps were in Warband - you just push them forward. Nothing suggested they could be moved in other directions or destroyed or anything like that.
For us Mount vets the footage of the siege weapons made this video amazing.
The siege weapons?? I was fucking ecstatic to see people react appropriately when getting sliced with a fucking sword. Always hated killing someone running at me with one slice making them immediately go to the death animation. There's a small flinch animation when you hit but don't kill if I'm not mistaken, but it's the same animation everytime so it doesn't look quite right and if you kill them in one slice, it looks like your sword gave them a heart attack. Regardless of the flinch animation, when a character died, it seemed like they changed planes of existence and an echo was left behind that cannot be harmed by your mortal means of iron and steel.
I'm sure the seasons will have an interesting impact on gameplay.
If you are one of us who loved m&b 1.011 and warband, and want more of the same, only better, then the trailer actually kinda stands out, since you see a whole lot of things that are getting improved.
I still can't get over the improvement of character models:
In a weird way, I like the blocky animations. But more importantly, will thy release that map making tool along with it? I LOVE games with easy to use map editors, ffs I bought far cry 3 JUST for the map editor :excited:
