Synopsis: Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter explores the secret life of our greatest President, and the untold story that shaped our nation. Visionary filmmakers Tim Burton and Timur Bekmambetov (director of Wanted) bring a fresh and visceral voice to the blood-thirsty lore of the vampire, imagining Lincoln as history's greatest hunter of the undead. Having personally read the book this was based off of, this looks pretty fucking awesome. Its produced by Tim Burton so I have high hopes for this.
i find it hard to take seriously when ITS FUCKING ABRAHAM LINCOLN KILLING VAMPIRES
I thought this was one of those spoof trailers at first. But oh my God I want to see this now.
that looks incredible!
Definitely doesn't look like they're going to stay along the lines of the book. From the looks of it, it'll follow his days as a vampire hunter before his presidency.
It was an amazing book, I seriously can't wait for the movie.
Looks pretty fucking awesome.
I saw a promotion poster at the theater a while back. Psyched for it.
http://theabyssgazes.blogspot.com/2010/03/teal-and-orange-hollywood-please-stop.html This movie is a good example of what they show in the article, Other than that i want to see it just so i can yell "AMERICA" Whenever he kills a vampire.
We need more movies like this.
Thought it was going to be a comedy when I first heard of it. Buying the book on amazon now as it seems interesting.
How can one actually make a serious movie out of such a concept?
How can one actually make a serious movie out of such a concept?
It's based off the book.
Wait, this is real?!

I think it's safe to assume that it'll turn out focusing more on his presidency than a simple one and a half minute trailer would present. Plus, while I can't say I've read anything but a synopsis of the book, the Civil War and his presidency seemed like a pretty big part of the whole book, so I doubt they'll cut it out. Also, by the way, this will be the best fucking movie of all time holy shit.
I'm going to watch the fuck out of this movie when it comes out. I mean, c'mon. LINCOLN VAMPIRE HUNTER
Whelp, off to my Libraries' online catalog to get the book.
Whelp, off to my Libraries' online catalog to get the book.
Hell, I ordered it off of Amazon. Should order just in time to read on the plane down South for vacation.
I hope George Washington makes a cameo appearance.
I know it's most likely not the case, but this thought keeps coming back when I read about this movie. It's basically that this movie is being made to cheer up America from all the shit it's going through at the moment.
So Abraham Lincoln fights 18-century Vampires Roosevelt fights fascist Wear-wolves Sarah Palin fights space Nazis Whats next?
Lol. Thats all i got to say.
Oh its a book? Its really random, but it sounds interesting. John booth, head vampire, calling it.
