The fact that the main theme is from 80s album blew my mind.
Also you can unlock the framerate with [URL="https://community.pcgamingwiki.com/files/file/589-srhook/"]SRHook[/URL] and there are some texture mods to enhance the graphics.
Its a real shame this series was never finished had some of the best voice acting in any video game period.

at the time i really liked blood omen, i think at the time it was a pretty unique ps1 game. i imagine it wasnt nearly as good on pc where you already had games like diablo
Whenever I think about a remaster for this game, I get really excited but also sad that it's not gonna happen because some actors have passed away or retired from VA and some of the existing lines for the older games are probably too low quality to be re-used. :cry:
A reimagined Blood Omen or Soul Reaver would be the tits.
I recently finished my yearly playthrough of the LoK series and man, the ending of Defiance made me so sad. I just want an ending to the story. Even a book would be great.
Not to rag on the voice-acting, since it really is phenomenal.
But I honestly wouldn't care if they recast the voices, if it meant actually getting a Soul Reaver remake, [b]especially[/b] one that has its full story realized.
Soul Reaver is a game and a concept that I think would absolutely [b]thrive[/b] with modern graphics tech being advantaged to cement its atmosphere and tell its narrative. The game is damn impressive for its time, as this video goes to great length to express.
But the fact of the matter is the game is still 18 years old, and running on 18-year-old tech.
Just imagine something like those phase-shifting transitions, but with the moody lighting and particle craziness of Unreal Engine 4 or CryEngine. I'm salivating at the sheer thought.
