Well shit. Maybe the US Military and DARPA will input and start working on this aswell.
Well, according to Pacific Rim these things should be 50 feet tall and battling giant alien monsters in like 5 years, so I can't wait for that.
I never felt so proud to be an American, what a time to be alive.
this makes me so excited because i hope to god america wins because america is the best county AMERICA IS SUPERIOR GOD BLESS AMERICA :terrists:
We'll beat the crap out of those Elevens
Japan best engineering. Come at me.
Where's the scream emote.
grant what happened to your teeth why do you sound like that
Well shit. Maybe the US Military and DARPA will input and start working on this aswell.
maybe those billions of dollars spent on surplus tanks will finally be put to good use
Today, we are all americans
If this doesn't get over 2 million bucks I would be suprised. I would like to see Tesla step in with some stuff that would be cool
Imagine if Teamp Japan creates a kickstarter of their own. We could see both sides crowd-funding their team, leading to a monetary arms race for upgrading their mech as well
Hoping that japanese company gets other japanese robotics companies to collaborate with them I dont want this to be a one-sided match. [editline]18th August 2015[/editline] Ninja'd by karmah
These will be deployed in the middle east by the time they are done with it.
These will be deployed in the middle east by the time they are done with it.
maybe it'll become a sport too
I really like the design of the movement component acting as the mech's "feet". Wonder how much of a low profile it'll be able to get in battle when that is combined with the legs mechanism, because taking down one of Kuratas' legs could completely cripple it, but I doubt they'd pull it off while standing.
Pacific Rim

50 feet tall
whoa, you're way, way off there.
grant what happened to your teeth why do you sound like that
His teeth look fine, I think he had a stroke from the looks of it. :(
Um This is this coolest fucking shit ever
I wonder how Team Japan can appropriately respond to this. If they reach 1.5 million dollars, they're going to have everything - and a kick-ass paintjob.
How much do you want to bet that the battle would consist of two robots hobbling towards each other and slowly throwing punches at each other :v: Sounds pretty fucking awesome
Minigun arm should be a giant coachgun instead, complete the AMERICAN aesthetic. Also, give it shades. Oh, nevermind. The concept art actually DOES evoke a double barrel shotgun, and the eagles have shades. Shit.
Reading the comments people have made on this, I find it a weird that people would think Japan would win simply based off of anime and uncanny fembots.
Minigun arm should be a giant coachgun instead, complete the AMERICAN aesthetic. Also, give it shades.
Let's duct tape some musket rifles and eagles to it. Live eagles.
Also, each mech needs a bombastic finishing move. Otherwise, it's not even a mech fight.
Project Backed. 25$ for a kickass poster isn't bad.
Mk. 2 has a chainsaw arm and a double barreled cannon. Groovy.
Man I am REALLY tempted to pay the 250 and be able to go to testing day.
