I teach a flash 8 class consisting of 10 high-schoolers.
How do you teach flash? This is the question I asked myself before starting the program, and then I had an idea. Make something totally inappropriate and easy to make and have the entire class re-create it!
I provided the entire class with a bunch of colorful pictures and pngs, their mission you ask?

I believe that free-lancing for a while before inducing major skills into the classroom creates a sense of freedom and gives you some time to get know the program.

See, I don't know what .fla is, I mean I realize it's a file type (I sure hope so at least) but I'm not sure what it is. I could do a simple Google search, but then again, what's the fun in that?

I made this animation in a program called "Flash 8," .fla is photoshop's .psd or even MSPaint's .bmp.
If you had flash 8 and I gave you the .fla, you could see everything I did to make this.
Where can I get Flash 8 from? Is there any way I can get a discount for being a University student? (perhaps for free from the manufacturer?)

You could research it, I'm sure there are such things.
But you could always get the Flash MX 2004's free trial.
Flash MX 2004 is basically the same thing as Flash 8, they even look the same.
