Well Star Trek, as how I knew it, is pretty gone at this point.
Not like this bad or disgraceful, but it is shit for Star Trek Fans who actually liked the show for its intelligence.

I'll watch it anyways so I can enjoy it.
Star Trek movies have always been action schlock. Just be glad it's not TOS movies which took the plot of what could be an episode and stretched it for about 2 hours. It's also an alternate timeline and the guy who owns the Star Trek license wants to eventuall do a new show in the original universe.
Personally I like all aspects of Star Trek, I love JJ's reimagination of Star Trek just as much as I do the rest of the franchise.

My only problems with JJ Abrams' movies are that the Enterprise looks like an Apple store and there's lens flare even when there's no light source on the screen. Why does that man like lens flare so much?
