There you go.
She is amazing.
Why would aspergers have an effect on her singing?
Why would aspergers have an effect on her singing?
It doesn't, Asbergers has just built up a reputation recently as "automatically means social retard who can't perform anything also loves mlp".
I guess it's just more for drawing attention to this?
I liked that thing she did with gradiating the volume upward mid word.

Isn't Asbergers more or less a social disorder more than a mental one?
Why would aspergers have an effect on her singing?
Because those who actually have aspergers, not just being randomly labeled such, have a really narrow range of interests.
It's possible singing is one of the few things she has in her life that makes sense to her.

..social disorders are mental disorders?
I can imagine how stressful it must be for her to sing to such a large audience.
And she's good, too!
..social disorders are mental disorders?
I think he's trying to say that it's more based around social interaction than mental issues.
In any case, it's classified under the Autistic Spectrum.
And it of course varies in... Levels? Symptoms? Severity? Whatever the correct word is it means that you won't have all of the common symptoms. Depending on the person, they might function pretty normally socially and have a wide range of interests, while still having the other symptoms/signs/effects.
Doesn't necessarily mean the most common things assigned to it, although that's usually the most prominent and common thing, the social-interaction part.
Sorry if I'm rambling, I just find the "they're socially awkward or stupid or i don't like them therefore autism/asbergers" thing stupid.
that wasn't that good imo
Asperger's ACTUALLY can entail, among other things, narrow scope of intensely pursued interests. Like singing. Those people can go into painful detail about these interests, as well as being gifted at these things thanks to pursuing it so intensely.
I think.

Coming from someone who's partner has Aspergers (not self-diagnosed), this is correct.

That's spot on.
I'm not up to date with DSM V but they put aspergers rather under autism spectrum disorder then declaring it as something separate.
UGH why of all possible words make a disease have an ass sound in the word, especially one that makes people a little socially awkward

This girl hit the notes but it sounds off because she has almost no soul.
Adele is a really good singer because she has a really soulful voice.

That's called dynamics.

Recording quality makes a huge difference.

She wasn't doing that, it was the whole audio, not just her.
