Everything on FB is so painfully meta and the worst thing you could waste your time on. It's all designed to get your attention and make you feel like you're doing something useful long enough to get the view count.
Pretty much everything I see is:
-Stolen comedy videos with huge letterbox text around them.
-Buzzfeed or those awful nowthis videos with the yellow text about trending lite social issues like plus size models, or people's "inspirational stories" being whored out for ad revenue, or useless products that make me feel like I'm on the tumblr pages of girls on my friends list.
-Sped up cooking videos.
-Anything remotely alternative that is actually now hugely popular.
And if they actually cared whether you watched the whole thing they wouldn't spam the point of the video with big text at the beginning. I wouldn't be surprised if most of them didn't even have any sound.
I've never registered on Facebook and as the years pass it seems more and more it was a good decision.
Out of all the stuff I listed, I'm guilty of enjoying the food/recipe videos. They're pretty harmless, although it's most likely just because I really like eating.
I hate the ones that make dishes that are in complete excess. Shit like where they pile on bacon, nutella, instant ramen, instant dough, or pizza-ify it. The kinds of shit where certain ingredients really don't belong in a dish yet they're still forced in and ends up making it look terrible and unappetizing. Just makes it seem like the person cooking has no idea what they're doing and decided to put a bunch of their favourite individual ingredients into a pot.
Everything else he listed is terrible though.
I'm pretty tired of all the BS on facebook too, but I stay on it because it's become the only way to actually get in contact with anyone, and it gives me an audience of people to appreciate the stupid jokes I make.
I'm kind of surprised he didn't touch on the soft-core facebook porn. I have a friend who likes dozens of those posts a day, and I don't know if he doesn't understand other people can see that or he just doesn't care we know how much he's wanking it.
It's funny for a Filthyfrank video but he mentions why it's dumb to bitch about it in the video with "You're being too cynical."
Like who cares. Just use Facebook for friends like 90% of people and just unfollow people you don't care about.
tbh tasty has had some good shit on there. I've made a couple things from there for me and my friends and the reception was great
i have definitely unfollowed some people for excessive bullshit sharing though

I only use Facebook for messaging at this point.
I can count on one hand the times I've actually browsed facebook for content. I only use it to stay in touch with friends and family, work on group projects at school and keep up to date on social stuff like my dnd group and events.

It seems like Facebook's algorithm is favorable to videos, so I'm constantly having to scroll down autoplaying videos I don't give one shit about. That and the other shitposts and Facebook just feels so cluttered with crap.
I've been unliking every page I liked, hiding all those 'acquaintances' you don't really ever talk to, like people from elementary that still haven't made it through high school, and also hiding every time I see something from sports, politics, memes or cooking channels.
I just want updates from people's lives, who they're hanging out with and so on. I don't care for the rest of the shit, so really this setup I did narrows Facebook down to what it should be.

When I used Facebook I just blocked every page I saw that was shit and after a week or two of doing that I found that it was pretty clean. They still pop up at an incredible phase, requiring you to block pages forever
