Please fucking GOD make this into a Bridge Commander 2
9:58 hahaha
Please fucking GOD make this into a Bridge Commander 2
Hes planning on making every deck on the ship. I think that is a bit much for a game like Bridge Commander I would keep an eye on Excalibur instead http://www.stexcalibur.com/
If I could have a Star Trek RPG like ST:O was supposed to be before it was bought, I would be so happy. Something like Pulsar: Lost Colony but way more complex.
If I could have a Star Trek RPG like ST:O was supposed to be before it was bought, I would be so happy. .
It would rarely work. You would need lots of coordination between your "bridge crew" setting up times and all that. You would probably only be able to play 1 or 2 times a week. Unless they're all people you know IRL And what happens if you want to play and no-one is on? Anyways that version of STO never made it out of concept art and a few renders. The company died with very little work and CBS sold the rights to Cryptic. Part of the deal however, was that Cryptic release it around the same time the original STO was going to be released, which only gave them 1.5 years to work on it.

i never knew that there was a toilet off screen left, so thats why people are running right off screen that way, they're shitting themselves [editline]22nd September 2015[/editline] also fuck ya, shuttlebay #1 because shuttlebay #2 is for scrubs
I don't remember the Enterprise having so many lounges Also more people should check out ST excalibur, it is borderline vaporware though.
i feel like even though its got lots of interesting stuff, at least 50 decks are devoted primarily to crew quarters. but hey! they can put in the amphibian deck
It actually gives me a really interesting perspective on how small the area of the ship you see in 95% of the ship scenes actually is compared to the whole thing.
The only working "Bridge Simulator" for multiplayer that honestly works, IMO, is Artemis.
The only working "Bridge Simulator" for multiplayer that honestly works, IMO, is Artemis.
You should check out Pulsar: Lost Colony.
You should check out Pulsar: Lost Colony.
Yeah, I got it back when it was very first made available, when it was still hidden on Steam. Really rough. But it has come quite far. I like it more than Artemis because you actually get to navigate the ship and can board ships, board stations, go to planet surfaces. It's got a while to go, and hopefully they'll keep going and not just phone it in now that it's public on Steam. You feel more like an actual ship crew than you do with Artemis. With Artemis you may as well be piloting a drone.

My mother's boss actually used some old voxel fps game to recreate the entirety of the Enterprise-A. While visiting her at work one day he actually pulled it up for me, pretty damn impressive. Built it by hand. Turns out when you run the IT department, you have a shitload of time and boredom. Apparently they were talking about this today.
Did anyone else hear the sonic screwdriver at 4:00?
This reminds me of Voyager : Elite Force, I remember some expansion pack that let you roam all the decks of the ship.

Even in voyager, a ship half this size (less, even) has a lot of stuff we didn't see.

http://www.last-outpost.net/rpg-x/ This is the ultimate Star Trek roleplaying game, if you're into that sort of thing. They don't have a very big community, and they mostly keep to themselves, but there is plenty of opportunity for expansion. They built this mod off of Elite Force 1. Its fantastic and there are some really awesome moments I've had playing this. You also do not need any other game besides this one. If anybody wants to play, I would be more than happy to play with anybody who wants to. Here, have a video: Should I post this in the general games discussion as well? I'm curious to see if we can get people playing, or if everybody has already heard of this before.
Elite Force 1 not 2
