Holy shit give it to me now
I love when games are used as means of education.
I'd love a game like this but singleplayer. (though apparently they are going to use server side restrictions to prevent griffing).
Damn, I am jealous of these kids. This looks fun as hell. I bet I would get a proposal of "lets exterminate all life on this world and commit ritual suicide" through, though, at least in the classes I was in as a kid.
Yeah, destroing enviroments, looking at them silly animals dying is fun as hell. I could do that all day.
i would be that one kid to troll and grief the shit out of their ecosytem
Imagine this in a survival game that's non educational, with something like maybe... don't starve? or even any survival game really that would be like hardcore mode tbh at the same time overlogging with Mr. Canadianbeard I've noticed clears a FULL area out fast :v:

Now here's a question I have: Does this game have PvP? The reason I'm asking is that a game which has such a heavy view on the environment should also come with the fact that most civilizations contend with each other for resources. In doing so, destroy large swathes of area through war and mobilization, and cause problems which could of otherwise been prevented through diplomatic means. Also, if this game is public, I fully expect a 2b2t type server going up with an endless map, and most of the spawn being deforested/turned into desert.
I'm getting a SimEarth/Life meets Minecraft which is pretty awesome. Honestly, ecologies are really interesting, and though some games have implemented them successfully such as Alpha Centauri and Anno 2070, I think something with the depth of SimEarth but the user interaction of something like Minecraft or Civilization would be really fucking awesome. And now I'm attempting to get SimEarth working on Win8
