Slightly nsfw. Sure protesting is your given right, but blocking of the highway and stop the daily lives of thousands of people? I don't think you get so much sympathy and following that way. No deaths though, they got lucky.
lol idiots
its like DarkRP.
"Herpader let's stand in the middle of an active freeway trying to get a point across that nobody will remember in 10 years"
fuckin owned
Looks like a mattress doesn't function too well as a road block.
Well maybe next time they will protest where there is actually people listening. Like in a city. From the video i could swear they are protesting against cars or traffic.
That one guy is like "they see me rollin"
lol protesting isn't a reason to run someone over idiots
lol protesting isn't a reason to run someone over idiots
Then again protesting isn't a reason to run out like mingebags on a busy highway, fucking with other peoples lives.
Woah, For a second I thought the tree thingy were blood and guts.
I wonder what the protest was about and the context. You can see soldiers or police running around in the video. I'm not sure the laws in Venezuela but in America you have the right to protest with consent from a Town, City, Village and so on.(I'm not positive the exact requirements, like size of the protesting party etc.) The reason for that is so they know that there are going to be thirty people blocking Main Street at (insert time) so they can redirect traffic, inform police and get everything squared away. It's partly for the safety of the protesters. For example, if I had gone to the town and said "Oh, hey, I hate noise pollution so me and my friends are gonna protest in the middle of route 8" then they'd say, "Hey wait a minute, that could be dangerous. Why not at the 13 on-ramp, there is a parkinglot right next to the road so no one gets run over by a tractor trailer." To me it looks like a bunch of teenagers were organized on facebook, ran out into the road with mattresses and shopping carts and attempted to stop traffic.
Haha, silly. Shouldn't have been standing in the middle of a highway.
If you stand in the middle of the highway, you get run over, simple. Heavier vehicles have a bit of trouble coming to a halt in time when going at 100km/h.
It's like that time I played Mercenaries 2 :buddy: Except I used a tank.
Protesters fault, how do they expect to stop mass amounts of traffic going at high speed, I would imagine they caused more accidents further down the motorway due to their stupidity.
Run into the highway ---> Get hit by bus End of discussion
The part that makes me rage is that after the bus stops the protesters descend upon it like a someone kicking a nest of bees, climbing onto the hood and trying to open the door.
What the hell are they doing with mattresses on sticks?

Ah, Venezuela. Hooray for dictatorships and stupid people!
I'm Venezuelan, and you people are fucking retarded, and honestly, disgust me. They were trying to close a highway because that's the only way our corrupt communist government will fucking notice this people, regular picketing and protesting won't do crap against a government that doesn't recognize half of the people that live there and that continously jumps towards totalitarism. These people were protesting because they were left entirely homeless ( They had houses up hill next to the road they're protesting on that's why they're there ) after the rain season destroyed their houses. They were one of the many communities that have yet to receive government aid, given that our government is way busier finding ways on how to hide their fucking multi million dollar salaries on bank accounts abroad. True, they could have asked the nearby Alcaldia for permission, but considering that 80% of all government officials are paid off by Chavez it's more than likely that any permission would have been denied. The bus ran them over because the bus driver was a Chavista, and thought these homeless people were Oppositionists, so he wanted to kill them all. So is the life on Caracas.

If they were at the side and the bus said, "fuck it" and swerved to hit them all then well, yeah I wouldn't argue..

You see, when the government won't notice you, neither does the media, or any sort of NGO, what do you do? Make some noise. That's what they're doing, they're attempting to catch people's attention, it's what protests are about. Why mattresses and sticks? What else can you salvage from a very, VERY low income home which is now covered in 3 feet of mud? These are the mattresses they were sleeping on, on a side of the road. You see, given that they are now homeless, they are now even poorer than they were before, you can't exactly do a nice picketing on a government office if you can't even fucking afford the bus there.
The bus ran them over because the bus driver was a Chavista, and thought these homeless people were Oppositionists, so he wanted to kill them all.
No I'm pretty sure it's because the protesters are fucking retarded and walked in the way of the bus.
The bus began speeding towards them, the driver didn't even make an attempt to go around them. Don't you see the cars that actually stopped there?

Woo, having to sacrifice lives to gain nothing! Woo, having to sacrifice lives to gain nothing!
It's the same logic of hunger protests. I support them, after all, I'd be desperate if I lived in a place like this: That got fucked over by rain and mud, and nor the government nor the media even cares about you.

I don't see them running into streets getting run over and call it "protesting". What the fuck could they possible be protesting in the middle of a highway with a bunch of mattresses? ":hurr: we lost our houses lets protest the government they might care about us because we're in the street even though they didnt care about us before" Great fucking logic there.
The bus began speeding towards them, the driver didn't even make an attempt to go around them. Would've went "Fuck yeah got 4 of em'", then would continue driving away, not stop. And if you'll say that he still ran away,he did that because the other protesters would've surrounded the bus, get him out and kill him
Well yay, their plans worked, because they're probably going to be in some news stories, except people are dead. Woo, having to sacrifice lives to gain nothing!
All of them survived
