oh god this is amazing
is it just me or do media tags fail half of the time
wow that looks revolutionary
like the new way to play first person shooters
Looks extremely imprecise and jerky. Useless gimmick.
Wow look at the floor! Awesome floor graphics right there!
That's just pathetic.
I'll take 10.
That's the future of gaming right fucking there
This is the reason why Kinect isn't gonna be used for anything more than gimmicky arcade games, where as PS Move is already being used in games like Heavy Rain.
Because Heavy Rain isn't gimmicky.
Because Heavy Rain isn't gimmicky.
Heavy Rain is for people who are too afraid of the cinema. :v:
It's a cinematic experience, how is that a bad thing?
haha, the guy ends up getting frustrated at it and the crosshair is shaking around the screen
Why are they even continuing this? They can see it's bad
kinect is such a useless device at the moment. just put like 3 more years of research into it until it actually works.
That doesn't even look remotely enjoyable.
I wish this motion controls fad would just fade off.

or 3 more years of research until they figure out that a controller was just fine
I, for one, am not amused by any of this Kinect/Move-bullshit.

Have you even tried the Move? It's actually ok.
Fucking lame. When I come home from work, I just want to kick back on my couch and play some video games with a controller.

Who cares? Defeats the purpose of videogames.

I swear to god, if the next console doesn't have a controller, I'm just going to collect a bunch of older consoles and games and go back to a much simpler, more fun time.

I'm going to paste a post I made in another thread.
You see, my family bought the Wii about a year back or so, and I was extremely excited to play it. But I couldn't help but feel slightly let down. It felt very gimmicky and awkward. The physics engines generally sucked, and the motion control felt awkward as hell. We slowly abandoned it, since we'd rather just sit on our asses.
And then the PS3 Move came out. I thought, "Oh here we go. You fucking idiots, Nintendo tried this already. It didn't work. It's not fun". I actually vowed to never to buy into the motion control craze ever again. But my dad bought the PS3 Move just this weekend, and I saw him playing Disc Golf (a game he and I play regularly in real life, and are moderately serious about), and I saw the physics, the graphics, and how well the controller responded to his exact movements. I had to give in. So him and I played a couple rounds. I'm actually quite pleased with it. We also tried the gladiator game, and that was some of the most fun I've had playing a fighting game in a long time. This was something that the Wii never gave me. I played the boxing game, and it was relatively boring. It seems that everywhere the Wii fell short, the Move picked up on.
But what I don't understand where they are planning to go with it. Sure, the Move is extremely fun, but what other games are they actually going to come up with? That's what worries me. Perhaps they'll come up with a realistic shooter that actually responds well to movement. Hopefully, Sony makes better games for it, and it keeps us entertained. At least we didn't have to buy a whole other system for this shit.
Also, before you start calling me a PS3 whore, know that I own the PS3, Xbox 360, and a PC. I find that each one has it's own use. For instance, I find that I am much better at shooters on the PC than I am on a console, etc.
Well, Time too go dig up my Genesis.
Well, Time too go dig up my Genesis.
Agreed, I have a stack of games for both the 360 and Wii and all I've been playing is Phantasy Star 4 on Genesis.
Everything you said
Meh, I guess I'm old because I like to play videogames with some buttons and a directional device of some sort, and nothing more.
I've got agree with Namo. I've played the Wii, and a friend of mine bought the playstation Move stuff a few weeks ago. I had far more fun playing the Move than the Wii. The table tennis in particular, is addicitng as hell. The kinect on the other hand, looks rediculous. Especially if that's what they've produced as an "fps".
Rather just buy a real gun.

Kinect is a total failure. The concept is amazing, the execution is terrible. Hopefully someone picks up the idea and actually makes it work.
You'd never play that in front of your friends. It'd be as awkward as watching a porn movie with your parents.
Am I the only one who thinks of the power glove when I see "demos" of Kinect?
