all the developer videos are a lot faster paced; it feels like whoever made this trailer didn't know what they were doing

Moving around would mean using trackpads or joysticks, unless you have a magic headset that works in a private football field. That's why teleporting is a pretty common mechanic in VR. This particular game seems to use teleporting as a means of gaining unique vantage points, enabling players to get onto different elevations.

Exactly. I was hoping they were going to use a regular controller for most of it, make a full on game and then just enhance it from there.
